Disney World has some seriously dedicated fans, otherwise known as Disney Adults.

Disney Adults are willing to drop money on the latest pair of Minnie Mouse ears; they don’t mind waking up early to rope drop and staying all the way until the park closes. They can tell you so many fun facts and act as your park map. Although Disney Adults love Disney World and continue to visit the Most Magical Place on Earth, there are just some things that you could not pay them to do.
As we said, Disney Adults are dedicated, and hey, we get it; our team here at AE is filled with Disney Adults. But sometimes, no matter how much you love going to the parks, there are just certain things that Disney Adults would not even do—even if they were being paid. So, to answer this question, we reached out to some Disney Adults—you are amazing readers—to get your thoughts!

You Couldn’t Pay Disney Adults to Ride Mission: SPACE – Orange
Mission: SPACE is a simulator ride in EPCOT. There are two versions of this attraction, one version of which takes you to Earth and is called Mission: SPACE – Green. This version of the ride is much more tame. But for you thrill seekers, there is Mission: SPACE – Orange, which not only takes you to Mars but is super intense and provides a more thrilling ride experience. But this ride is really for the thrill seekers, and Disney Adults shared that they avoid Mission: SPACE – Orange at all costs.

So many readers said that you could not pay them to ride Mission: SPACE – Orange, and some even said you could not get them to ride Mission: SPACE – Green. One reader said, “I like to keep the contents of my stomach in my stomach.”

Let’s just say Mission: SPACE – Orange is not the attraction you choose to ride after eating lunch or if you are prone to motion sickness.

You Couldn’t Pay Disney Adults to Eat a Turkey Leg
Now, there are a lot of great classic snacks around Disney World. You can’t go wrong with a Mickey pretzel, a Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bar, a churro, or some popcorn. But there is one snack that almost all Disney Adults agree is a skip, and that is a turkey leg.

Along with Mission: Space—Orange, turkey leg was mentioned so much. Many people said “no way” and “never” in response to the thought of eating a turkey leg. We get it; there are much better snack options across the resort.
Here’s a Super Weird Fact About Disney World’s Controversial Turkey Legs. You’re Welcome.

You Couldn’t Pay Disney Adults to Ride the Astro Orbiter
In Tomorrowland in the Magic Kingdom, Astro Orbiter sits above the entire land. It is so high up that you need to take an elevator to get to it. While this attraction is essentially just a spinner attraction like Dumbo or The Magic Carpets of Aladdin, some Disney Adults feel that this version of the spinner attraction is worse.

One reader shared that they were “ not okay for the rest of the day after that “innocent” ride. And [they] can ride Mission: SPACE — Orange, no problem. Those rockets are what nightmares are made of.”

You Couldn’t Pay Disney Adults to Ride Space Mountain
Also in Tomorrowland, Space Mountain is a super popular attraction, but it is a little awkward. It can be hard to load in and out of the seats. When you are exiting the attraction, you can feel a little bit of panic, trying to get up and get your bag out while not holding anything up.

One reader says they skip it now because they “would like to be able to walk off the ride.” No one wants to have to deal with trying to look graceful after riding a thrilling roller coaster through the dark.

4 Reasons Why We SKIP One of the Most Popular Disney World Coasters
And there you have it! Although Disney Adults are committed and loyal to Disney and Disney World, they have their limits.

I ride both orange and green. I love the orbiter. There is no ride I avoid… I’ll pass on the turkey leg
Teacups is the ride that we avoid like the plague! Because if you don’t avoid it, death by the plague might be a relief! We had motion sickness for DAYS after riding Teacups!
I still have the tickets when my parents took me and space mountain was my 1st coaster ride and I LOVED IT!!!! IM 52 NOW and the tickets were only $7.00 for adults admission, you can’t get your yummy ole turkey leg for that now. I still have my musketeers signed document in my hope chest. Them were care free days then.
I grew up riding Space Mtn. My favorite ride growing up. Astro Orbitor no problem there either. Forget Mission Space. That was a 1 and done. As a Disney Adult you can forget the Turkey leg. Disgusting and everyone is going to get me for the next 1. Forget the hard, stiff Churos!! However, I heard Disneyland’s are Better. I will find out next month and yes I definitely will be riding “The Death Wheel” too!! I may hate it before I’m done!! You only live once.
Ha! I just got a shirt that says “Proud Disney Adult” and I can’t wait to wear it next time. I do have a confession though… my Space Mountain days may be numbered. It’s getting too rough for my back!
Used to love Dinsey but after all the research I’ve done on how pedophiles run rampant thru the company I stopped supporting Disney.
PUH-LEEZ! Did your research state who and when they were arrested or fired? If you have no reputable, verifiable evidence for this DeSantis smear, then stop.
I’m a Yes to Mission Space: Orange and Space Mountain, but I’m also a No to the turkey leg.
I agree. I went on Mission to Mars and have NEVER felt worse. My Mother said I was green in the face(she skipped it). Took me over an hour to recover. Space Mountain was ok the first time then it got progressively worse the more I rode it over the years and now I avoid it. I prefer something more gentle where I don’t risk losing my beautiful Mickey ears!!!
I agree, I’ve done Space Mountain plenty of times but now, I do enjoy the People Mover to get my sense of Space Mountain.
I ride mission space Orange every time I go to Epcot. Mind you I also drink around the world and I ride it after about 4-5 drinks. The contents of my stomach always stay in place. Never once have I needed to use the barf bag.
Now guardians of the galaxy on the other hand, that’s a whole other beast. I’ve rode it 3 times and Everytime I was sober, I get motion sick. I don’t throw up, but for the next 2 hours I feel wheezy.
I’m a Disney adult and none of this article is relevant. Matter of fact, the turkey leg my favorite item to get.
Breathe the exhaust from Tomorrowland Speedway.
I’m one of those adults who you couldn’t pay to go on Space Mountain because as a little girl, I had to go on it with my family and I was petrified! I don’t like being in the dark like that and it was very scary! I was traumatized for life! ? I’m just not much for certain types of roller coasters to begin with (don’t like heights) but I absolutely love Thunder Mountain! Hated Matter Horn! It was very bumpy and rough, so I wouldn’t go on that again.
Used to work at Disney for years. I can tell you with 100% accuracy that Disney adults go on ALL of these rides and eat Turkey legs like crazy. Was never a fan of the turkey legs myself, but I sold tons of them, always had a line of adults grabbing those things.
Ok I agree with a few of those but , the turkey legs .
It’s the first thing I get when I visit. I like them
I would take money to ride Astro orbiter and Space Mountain–the others I am not interested in at all
I’ll ride everything in all of Disney World but keep me away from the wheel of death in California Adventure. IYKYK??
Agreed! I’ll ride anything, but I will not ride Mickey’s wheel of death at DCA. Normal my 17-year-old twins. We’ve been going to Disneyland for years and years and we even take new people with us from time to time and we always point out how much we hate that ride because it’s awful. I am a coaster fanatic and that ride scares me. I don’t know why, but I just can’t take it. And I’m talking about the swinging cars.
Tower of terror!! Last time I rode it was with my then 10 year old daughter! Who’s now 23 !! Then it had just one drop!! Now who knows??
You all need some stronger Disney Adults. I have done every one of those things and with the possible exception of the Turkey Leg would do any or all many times again. That is the definition of being a Disney Adult-Doing the crazy things normal Adults won’t do!
