There’s a longstanding tradition among Disney fans of waking up at the crack of dawn on vacation. Why? These people want to be among the first to hop in line for Disney’s most popular attractions to (hopefully) avoid long lines. It’s called rope drop, and you have to be strategic to make this work.

OK, here’s the thing. Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is one of EPCOT’s most popular rides. Since it’s a big-ticket ride, many people think that this is a great option to hit first at rope drop. But when EPCOT opened on August 17th, the wait time was already posted at 60 minutes. Wait, what?
By 8PM (right around the time when the EPCOT fireworks show was happening), Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure was down to a 40-minute wait. That’s MUCH better, right? You can pretty much say that about every top tier ride. Night is where it’s at for the past few years. Don’t know why but it is. We still rope drop it from the back of the park though. We have jumped in line later in night for it but it moves pretty slow in general so we feel it’s a good rope drop still. I still think rise in HS is one of theist nighttime top tier ride. It’s pretty cool walking outside in the dark for the one portion but it is always posted way way higher then it actually is. Best posed time ratio to ride time we have experienced has been 80 mins with a 20 min wait.
