There ain’t nothing like the Country Bear Jamboree…and luckily, it’s now open in Disney World!
Magic Kingdom closed the opening day attraction in January this year to make way for several updates to the show. There are new costumes, new songs (from some of your favorite Disney movies), and some new details to look for in the waiting room. The opening day is here now and we’ve been keeping an eye on the crowds — follow along with us!
Although the attraction has held media and D23 previews, July 17th is the official opening date for Country Bear Musical Jamboree. We typically see pretty high crowds on big days like this…so what’s the verdict? Well, there were a LOT of people in Magic Kingdom this morning for rope drop.
However, when we reached Grizzly Hall (where you’ll find Country Bear Jamboree), we noticed that Cast Members had set up the line dividers, but it looked like they might have expected more crowds at the attraction than what we saw this morning.
Emma and Sage were READY for the show.
The show will run continuously throughout the day, from 9AM to 10PM. It’s also available during Extended Evening Hours this evening! So if you’re headed to Magic Kingdom to see it today, you’ll have plenty of chances.
We decided to grab a spot for the show, and Grizzly Hall was certainly packed!

We thought the updates were great! My 11 trade old had never seen it and totally enjoyed himself. The line did get longer later in the day and they used those queue lines. But many around us including ourselves didn’t know it was reopening that day. It was a nice surprise. I don’t think the park was super packed and I judge it based on the fact that not once did I have to wait in a line for the ladies restroom! 5-10 empty stalls every time, just saying.
