NEWS: Disney’s ‘Jungle Cruise’ Movie Will Be Released in Theaters and On Disney+!

This year is a BIG year for Disney movies!

We’ve got a lot of great Marvel and Pixar entertainment to look forward to, plus original titles like the new Cruella film. Now, we’ve got another release date for a Disney movie coming this summer!

Disney’s Jungle Cruise inspired by the iconic ride at Disney World and Disneyland Resort is being released in theaters and on Disney+ Premier Access on Friday, July 30th. The movie stars Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt and will follow the two on an “adventure-filled, rollicking thrill-ride down the Amazon.”

According to Disney, Johnson and Blunt are cast as Skipper Frank Wolf and researcher Dr. Lily Houghton. Dr. Houghton enlists the help of the skipper to guide her downriver through the jungle on his boat, La Quila. “Thrust on this epic quest together, the unlikely duo encounters innumerable dangers and supernatural forces, all lurking in the deceptive beauty of the lush rainforest.”

  1. The Premiere Access program must be a huge money maker for Disney as they are continuing to use it throughout the summer. I have to wonder when they will raise the price of it (you know it will happen!)
