While Disney is still rolling out new designs for MagicBands, the newest technology for getting into the parks completely eliminates the need for the Disney accessory.

Last month, Disney introduced MagicMobile at Walt Disney World, which is a new feature in the My Disney Experience app that lets you turn your phone into your MagicBand. Once activated, you’re able to use your phone to scan into the Disney Parks and connect Disney PhotoPass images to your account. But, the feature had only rolled out to iPhone users, so not all guests had access just yet. That is, until now!
As of today, guests who have Android phones can now access the MagicMobile feature on My Disney Experience and set up their account. In order to begin setting it up, be sure you have the latest version of the app and select “Disney MagicMobile” in the app.

When you click into the feature, you’ll be led to this screen, where you’ll get a quick overview of what the new feature does.

Select “Set Up Your Pass” and choose the people that you would like to give MagicMobile access to. From there, you’ll be able to choose what style of pass you’d like for each party member. And, once you’ve got that all set up, you can add the pass to your Google Pay app, so you don’t even have to open up the My Disney Experience app to access your ticket!

From there, you’ll want to be sure that you’ve enabled Bluetooth so you can link your Disney PhotoPass images to your account while in the parks and you are good to head to the parks MagicBand-free. Stay tuned for more Disney news and updates!

There is no “Magic Mobile” anything on my Android in my DE app…Where do I find this, since it is supposedly effective “today?”
Go to the 3 lines on the right bottom of the screen and you should see the ‘button’
This is for the people that choose not to relax while on vacation. The last thing I want to do is fish for my phone and try to find something. This is going to slow things down significantly. Imagine all of the people who wait to the last minute to pull it up because heaven forbid they get out of line until they find where it is. I don’t want my phone with me at all in a theme park. I’m on VACATION!
I agree. My phone’s battery doesn’t stay charged now and it’s new.
Agree with both of you on both of hurt points
