Although Disney World has been open for months now, many restaurants still remain closed.
Excitingly, another restaurant has opened up its doors once again! Over at Disney’s BoardWalk, Big River Grille & Brewing Works has reopened!
Big River Grille reopened today! At this restaurant, you can find a huge selection of beer and hearty American food like macaroni and cheese and burgers. We noticed a few new safety measures have been implemented, and we’re giving you a look at the newly reopened restaurant!
Outside the restaurant, social distancing markers are in place.
Inside, plexiglass barriers have been installed at the bar.
Additionally, Big River Grille is using paper menus. This is something we’ve seen at a handful of other Disney restaurants in order to minimize high-touch surfaces.
Currently, this restaurant is still listed as unavailable on Disney World’s website and operating hours haven’t been updated, but we’ll be on the lookout for changes.

I just found out that although Big River Grille is listed on MDE and WDW Website, you cannot make a reservation through Disney. You can, however with Open Table, which is sooooo easy. I waited 25 min on 407-WDW-DINE to get this information – but it was worth it to get a confirmation for a restaurant near our stay at Beach Club Villas next week. Also – no pain if you cancel last minute through the app, rather than a $10 charge from Disney 😉
