EPCOT’s transformation emphasizes a return to its roots.

The park’s new pylons are a reimagining of the original entrance, and attraction additions draw on EPCOT’s basic themes. Redesigning the entrance did require the removal of the Leave a Legacy panels, but they’ve since been relocated. And today, we got a first peek at their new home!
The Leave a Legacy panels have tens of thousands of personalized tiles with photos of park visitors from 1999-2007. Guests often return to the panels to search for their picture and remember that moment in time. Luckily, this is still possible, because the panels haven’t been moved far!

Leave a Legacy is now located just outside the EPCOT touch points. And it’s gotten a vibrant makeover, too, based off the park’s new color palette!

There’s also a new way for guests to locate their photo. They can scan a QR code to bring up a tile finder search feature, which will provide coordinates for their tile’s location. Just like before, they can visit Guest Relations for help, too.

Today, Disney Imagineer Zach Riddley shared a behind-the-scenes peek of the installation of the first round of panels. The Imagineers have been hard at work on this transformation, and the rest of the panels will be installed later this week!

Those legacy markers were awful. Like walking through a mausoleum while entering a theme park. Sorry to hear they are back.
