With so much uncertainty and change impacting Walt Disney World guests and plans this year, we’re happy to bring you some news so good, it’s downright spooky! Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is still on for 2020!
But there’s a catch (or two). Of course, guests of the Party, which is a specially-ticketed nighttime event in Magic Kingdom, will be required to adhere to safety and health protocols that are in place at the time. Those may look like the safety and health protocols currently in place, or they may be adjusted. If you’re planning to attend the Party this year, stick with AllEars for updates as dates approach.
The second catch is that at this time, no new tickets are being sold for this year’s Halloween Party dates. That means guests who have already purchased tickets are good to go; your tickets are valid. However if you were waiting to purchase a ticket, Cast Members have confirmed that no new tickets are being sold at this time.

I have 5 tickets for August 28th And we need to cancel.
I have tickets to two parties – would really like to just get a refund at this point 🙁
Already received refund for my reservations, but haven’t asked about Halloween tickets yet. I can’t see paying full price for half service. (Oh yeah, that was suppose to be on my 20th anniversary and birthday.)

Well we had to cancel our trip because we can’t wear masks in August. So I think it would only be fair for Disney to refund tickets. The entire world has changed. Their ticket policy can too. We once had to go to the Halloween party during a Tropical Storm because they refused to close the park. I’m sorry to sound so negative but it’s frustrating
Due to this Pandemic, I have cancelled our reservations for our September 2020 trip. I am 69, and have 2 adult children with auto immune disorders and a grandchild that has autism with other health issues. I purchased tickets to Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. Due to the circumstances at this trying time, is it possible for a refund. This pandemic gave us no choice but to cancel. We have been staying home. Very upset about cancelling the trip. Hope all cancellations can be refunded at this time. Thank you.

What a cast member said to me is that if we don’t go to the party, the cost of the tickets will be credited to our accounts to be used at a later date for other special events tickets. They said that was published on the website – it is, but isn’t – that’s what they’re saying for regular park tickets, not special event tickets yet. But maybe that’s the plan. Hope so.

Unfortunately our family has higher risk health issues (lupus/diabetes) so we have decided to move our Sept 2020 trip out a year… we had already purchased tickets to the Halloween party before COVID19 we have cancelled our current reservations with a full refund with the exception of our Halloween party tickets… I am hoping they will be offering refunds for party tickets given the circumstances. ??
Well with reduced capacity, and party tickets limited, why couldn’t they have shows, parade and fireworks? There’s usually two shows, and two parades, and if they marked spots to line up to watch, it’s possible. I’m hoping the cancellation of entertainment is temporary for the opening, and that they’ll figure more out and restart it.
Agree. We also already have our tic but with the party especially, the parade and fireworks are SOuch a part of the experience.
We have tickets to the Halloween party, however half the Magice will be lost with no parade, fireworks and no to little character interaction. Not sure what we are exactly paying for… we plan to cancel our trip to Disney due to health conditions that put us at greater risk, would be nice to be refunded for our tickets, especially during a pandemic- we work hard for our money and could really use it during these times.
We have tickets for Labor Day weekend (Friday). Really think I would rather have a refund or a swap out for a Christmas Party ticket. Was going to call and ask about options. Reading this article though makes me think people have already tried for refunds and have been denied.
We have our tickets confirmed for the day of Halloween! I’m really glad we checked that off the list right before this all got crazy, along with the rest of our Vacation at Animal Kingdom Lodge!!
Despite all the restrictions and limitations on capacity we’re still looking forward to it.
We have tickets but unfortunately had to cancel our trip due to husband being furloughed. We’ve been advised that they will not refund us for the tickets and we can apply the cost of the tickets towards our next visit. Not very helpful.
We have 2 party days of tickets for Halloween and October 27th we will be there all week till November 3rd hoping the mask policy is gone by then.
We’ve got our tickets for 11/1 and will be at Disney that whole week to celebrate our wedding anniversary!
I have tickets to the halloween party on Sept 11. However, due to all of the restrictions, my granddaughters immuno-compromised health condition, we have to cancel our trip. Will I be able to be reimbursed for the party.
We bought our tickets for the October 28th event. I’m glad we did. We have not, however, purchased our regular admission tickets. I wish we would have but I’m hoping that we will be able to soon!
