Disney Springs is scheduled to begin a phased reopening on May 20th.
Disney has released further information about the new health and safety measures and operational changes that will accompany the reopening of Disney Springs.
Disney created these new processes based on government requirements and guidance from health authorities such as the CDC and government agencies.
Limited Parking and Entrances Available
Upon arrival, there will be new procedures for parking and entrances. During the initial phase, guests will self-park in the Orange and Lime Garages — all surface lots will be closed.
Plus, only four entrances to Disney Springs will be open — those are located in the Orange and Lime Garages, the Hotel Plaza Boulevard pedestrian bridge, and the rideshare location.
Due to capacity limitations, once the parking garages are full, guests will no longer be permitted to park and enter Disney Springs — including any guests with dining reservations.
Face Coverings/Masks
Disney also addressed face coverings, saying all guests aged three and older, as well as all Cast Members and third-party operating-participant employees, are required to wear appropriate face coverings while visiting Disney Springs.
Face coverings will need to be worn over the nose and mouth at all times, except while sitting at a dining table. Guest must provide their own masks.
Cashless Transactions
In another effort to reduce contact, cashless transactions are highly encouraged.
Temperature Screenings
All guests will also be required to undergo temperature screenings upon arrival. Anyone with a temperature of 100.4 degrees or higher will be rescreened and, if their temperature continues to meet or exceed 100.4 degrees, they will not be allowed to enter. Additionally, everyone else in their party will be prohibited from entering as well.
Guests are also encouraged to check their own temperature at home before leaving, as an added precaution.
Limited Capacity
There will be limited capacity for both Disney Springs as a whole and each individual location. Physical distancing measures will also be in place to encourage space between parties. Ground markings will be placed to help promote proper distancing when queues are necessary.
Select areas where it’s difficult to maintain distance will also have physical barriers in place. In addition, one-way and other directional signage has been installed to assist guests to responsibly move throughout the property.
Cleaning and Disinfecting Procedures
Disney has also increased cleaning and disinfecting procedures in high-traffic areas like elevators, handrails, benches, tables, handles, restrooms, and more. Both hand-washing stations and hand sanitizer will be available and are highly encouraged to be used frequently.
Cast Member Training
Cast Members will receive additional training on the new procedures and will be available throughout Disney Springs to answer any questions guests may have.
All of these new initiatives will be implemented with the goal of increasing the health and safety of both guests and Cast Members.

Count me out too.
My family will not be visiting either. No way my two kids over 3 but under 7 will keep a mask on for more than a few min. Especially outside in the heat.
Masks are really not needed outdoors. It’s all for show. If masks are really needed, just stay closed down.
I won’t be spending money or time anywhere on Disney property until face masks are optional. So much for enjoying walking around with a snack or drink. No thanks Disney!!
