I strolled around Downtown Disney Marketplace one sunny Saturday afternoon to check on new and established Hidden Mickeys and other Hidden Images. For example, at T-Rex Cafe, some Cast Members and Hidden Mickey Hunters talk about a Hidden Donald Duck. I asked around inside the restaurant and the CM’s weren’t sure, but they thought such an image might be on the octopus over the bar, at the far left side. I did find one reddish spot on the octopus that sort of resembles Donald. What do you think? (Thanks to Shannon Williams).
I make a point to stop by the Caricature Booth near Guest Relations, as I wasn’t sure if the Mickey images there would last. They’re still there! Classic Mickeys are in the clouds in the background of several paintings on the rear wall of the booth. (Thanks to Sharon Dale).
Many Hidden Mickeys are outside and inside the Once Upon A Toy Store.
Here’s one: in the center of the Mr. Potato Head display in the first room of the store, a tiny white classic Mickey is on the clasp of Mrs. Potato Head’s handbag. She is holding decorative Mickey balloons. (Thanks to Sarah Ireland).
Classic Mickeys on the cement walkway outside the side entrance of the store have faded over the years. You can still make out two ears and the top of Mickey’s head in this photo of one of the images.
Keep in mind one inevitable occurrence in the world of Hidden Mickeys: some will disappear. I worry about rope Hidden Mickeys. Unless they’re maintained by Cast Members, they may become distorted or erased by natural (or meddling) forces. Alas, the rope classic Mickey under the bridge near Port Orleans French Quarter, as viewed from the Sassagoula River Cruise boat, is lost. I’ll keep checking, as sometimes Cast Members reinstate these great images. There’s always hope!
The HM between POFQ and DTD is there! I saw it mid-April.
How do I submit a HM to you?
We road the boat mid-April from DTD to POFQ and the HM was there.
Now, I have a question for you. How do I submit a possible HM?
