Reviews of Pop Century Resort (Value Resort)

After staying in three resorts on the Skyliner, Pop Century is my least favorite. The resort is updated and comfortable, but we were surrounded by cheerleaders. I did know this going in, but it was slightly annoying. No marks taken away for that. The resort felt very spread out, even more so than Caribbean Beach. I think this is because it felt very crowded and tight. I liked Art of Animation slightly better because it felt more open. The food offerings seemed better than at Art, but not as good as Caribbean Beach. We did ride the Skyliner to CB and to the Boardwalk for supper most nights. This is a great resort for the money and little kids. Watch the Wide World of Sports schedule because this is the closest resort and many teams stay here.
Pros:
Skyliner is a huge plus. Good "bang for your buck". Fun theming.Cons:
Feels slightly claustrophobic in my opinion. High school/middle school teams stay here during compactions/tournaments.Reviewed by HannahGrace Review Date: 02/04/2025

Honestly, I'll always be a Pop Century gal! I have stayed here multiple times, most recently in October 2024. The larger than life theming is fun and brings the magic back from the park with you. Room re-theme a couple of years ago drastically helped it feel more modern and updated. Skyliner access is obviously a highlight of Pop that makes it stand out, but even so, I will choose Pop over AoA anyday. I love the theme and energy. Quick service options get the job done.
Pros:
Skyliner access, fun atmosphereCons:
No sit-down dining options or slides.Reviewed by PhilipM Review Date: 05/03/2024

Only reason I'm not giving it a 10 is because there are nicer places to stay, but I do love POP!
Pros:
Skyliner and fun theming for sureCons:
no real dining options besides the food court, and no slide at the pool. Neither are a huge deal, but noticeable when compared to other resortsReviewed by Anonymous Review Date: 11/22/2023

A great hotel for the price and comes with a lot of benifits. The skyliner is amazing and the theming is cool. The rooms are nice and clean and so is the hotel grounds
Pros:
Skyliner, fun pool that was not crowded, good cafeteria, reasonable price, nice roomsCons:
Not as much benefits and rooms were a little plainReviewed by Anonymous Review Date: 10/29/2023

Very clean and comfortable. Nice pool. Close to skyliner. Some of the best and most helpful staff we have encountered.
Pros:
Close to skyliner. Nice pool. Affordable. Great staff.Cons:
Not walking distance to any of the parks. You have to take transportation- bus or skyliner. The music in the lobby and common areas is a little loudReviewed by Anonymous Review Date: 10/21/2023

Not a bad place to stay by any means, clean, comfortable: has all the same things any other hotel would . For the price and with access to skyliner it definitely adds to the rating .
Pros:
Affordable, has skyliner access, cute themeCons:
The cafeteria is meh, there should be more options . It’s kindof ugly in some places and the theme can be a little strange looking in placesReviewed by Anonymous Review Date: 06/09/2023

Loved this resort! Never stayed at a value, but this is better than the 2 moderates (POR & Coronado) that I have stayed in. The Murphy bed really frees up space during the day. The mattress was good enough for me and a kid to share. Theming was cute. We stayed in a “preferred” room in the 60’s building. Everything was closer than the moderates and you can’t beat that skyliner! We rope dropped Epcot and skylines was a walk on that morning. We used the buses to Springs and AK with a <5 min wait.
