We used Mears Connect on May 7 and again on May 13. Our arrival to MCO was 10:35 pm and we got our luggage and headed to the Mears Connect area which is the same place the the Magical Express used. Having used ME several times the only difference was having to collect our own luggage. The attendant scanned the code on my phone and told us which line to get into. We were immediately taken to the bus with about 8 other people. The driver loaded the luggage for everyone and we left the airport after a ~10 minute wait. We were going to the Swan with another couple and everyone else was going to Pop Century. We dropped the people at Pop and made our way over to the Swan. There was a high school prom just ending at the Swan so the traffic was bad at the hotel. We arrived at the Swan driveway about 50 minutes after leaving the airport but it took a while to get to the front door where we could be dropped off. Not Mears fault. Our departure code was sent the day before with the pickup time: about three hours before our early evening flight. We went out to the front of the hotel at the appointed time and the bus was just pulling up. The driver scanned our code and we boarded the bus. There was a gentleman who was from a convention also waiting for a Mears bus but had a later pick up time. The driver checked with his dispatcher and was able to accommodate him. We arrived at the airport on time. Again, the driver loaded and unloaded the luggage. I would not hesitate to use Mears Connect again.

Wasted half our day using Mears connect! They didn’t have enough busses so they were putting families in taxis. We waited 55 minutes for a bus to come for us, then sat on the bus for 20 minutes before it even left the airport. They packed people from all different resorts onto the bus so we then had to stop at 4 or 5 resorts until we got to ours. There went another hour. We will never use them again. Total waste of our vacation time.

Pros:

Cost is less then Uber/ Lyft

Cons:

unorganized, wasted vacation time,

We used MEARS on 05/14/22 and 05/21/22. We waited in line at the airport for about 15 minutes, our luggage was loaded by the driver, we got onto the bus and had a smoothe ride to the resort. We stayed at Pop Century so we had to stop at Caribbean and Riviera Resorts then we were dropped off. On the way back, we were picked up on time, picked up passengers at Riviera Resort then we went to the airport without any issues. We had zero issues using MEARS and would absolutely use them again!

Pros:

Picked up and dropped off on time, easy to change the times due to flight changes and everytone was very helpful and friendly!

Cons:

We didn't encounter any cons.

I will never use Mears again. The ride to the resort was fine although it was somewhat confusing to find them at MCO. On the way back to MCO, our driver left the resort without us. Our reservation time was 7:10 AM. We were walking down the ramp to the bus at 7:10 AM and the bus pulled out. When I contacted Mears, they said reservation time and departure time are the same thing and I would not be refunded for the second half of my trip. We were able to get a taxi and passed the bus on the way to MCO. What an unnecessary headache they caused by poor wording.

Pros:

Bus was clean

Cons:

Horrible customer service

Just to let everyone know Mears Connect is using other companies to Shuttle passengers from MCO to the resorts. Mears is only using a handful of their own drivers . These so called other drivers are not even trained by Mears . I would use the other company Sunshine Flyer . Sunshine Flyer uses their own trained drivers and never uses any other company. My vote goes to Sunshine Flyer.

Pros:

None

Cons:

75% of there moves are not Mears drivers they are all from other companies

We booked Mears Connect before our trip. Having been to Disney many times before Magical Express it was how it used to be. Landed at airport, took our time to pick up our luggage and then had to travel to the other terminal to get ground transportation. It would have been helpful if the Mears confirmation email had mentioned that the buses would be at the former Magical Express area. We wouldn't have walked around looking for a Mears Connect sign. Once we were in the correct area the employees were very nice and helpful. We shared a bus with people from other resorts, but all of the resorts were in the same area. Nice ride, nice bus driver, no problems. A day before we were leaving I confirmed (by phone) with Mears Connect our pick up time from the resort. We had a 6:30AM flight and the Mears person gave me the option of the time to be picked up. Knowing the issues (extremely busy) with MCO departures/security, I went with the earlier time (prefer reading at the airport gate, than stressing that I'm not going to make it to the gate). Picked up on time and no problems.

Pros:

Buses were clean and tidy. Every employee I spoke to was courteous and helpful.

Cons:

Mears signage at MCO could be better. I think the airport is confusing to navigate and there should be more signage. May not be Mears fault though.

We used Mears Connect to get to the Animal Kingdom Lodge on April 29th and returned to the airport on May 3rd. The check-in process was quick and efficient but that is where the positive feedback ends with getting to our resort from the airport. No busses arrived for about 50 minutes and when we asked what took so long, Mears said they had to "call in more busses from downtown." When a bus finally arrived, they loaded guests from 7 different resorts. Altogether, it took us 2 hours from when we checked in at the airport to get to our room at Animal Kingdom Lodge.

Additionally, Mears seemed to be unorganized that day. The driver did not ask during boarding where everyone was headed and he repeatedly asked after every stop where he needed to go next. Furthermore, one party paid for express service to the Beach Club resort but was put on our bus, so the driver had to immediately change course to get that party to the Beach Club. I believe the lack of route planning impacted how long it took us to get to our resort.

The return trip was fine though. We were picked up on time and arrived at the airport 2 hours early. The driver was just not the friendliest.

Overall, my family and I are going to try other transportation options first before going back to Mears Connect to see how other companies are taking guests to and from Disney property.

Pros:

For smaller parties, it is a more cost friendly option compared to rideshare services.

Cons:

Can be unreliable and time consuming.

Literally, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS SERVICE. If you are looking for an easy way to go to the parks, this is not your answer. After carrying heavy luggage across the airport, you should at least receive decent customer service. They had no desire to help assist in any capacity. Luckily, the bus ride was okay, but there is nothing magical about this transportation service. We immediately canceled our return ride before departing the airport.

Pros:

Bus ride

Cons:

Poor customer service Less than ideal situation
