Though it's themed to appeal to younger kids, none of my 4 kids enjoyed this show at all. Mickey Philharmagic and Muppet Vision do this type of thing much better.
Avoid sitting in the very front if possible; it was very hard to see what was going on.

Pros:

Inside the Tree of Life

Cons:

Hard to see, kids didn't understand what was going on even though they've watched the movie

This is an oldie but a goodie. It's a fun change of pace from other rides in the park, and definitely fun for the kids. You also get to walk through the tree of life while in line and find all the animals carved in the tree.

Pros:

Great for kids, amazing que.

Cons:

There are better rides in the park but I would still make time for this one.

The most underrated attraction in all of Walt Disney World! The effects are so cool and the theming from the parody musical posters in the queue to the theatre itself. Always a short wait and a break for your legs and from the heat.

Pros:

Indoors, cool, fun 3D and 4D effects, easy to get into

Cons:

Scary for little kids

Was fun when it first opened. But now it just feels tired and dated. Needs a refurb.

Pros:

In the tree of life

Cons:

Dated

Fun show, but sometimes a little scary. I cried when I was eight, but really enjoyed it as a teenager.

Pros:

Fun show to sit down and enjoy.

Cons:

Kids might be scared and cry.

This is probably one of my kid's favorites of all of the "shows" in AK because it is interactive, has some "4D" aspects and not too long. We'll usually try to include this in each of our trips, but of course it's not as exciting as most of the actual ride style attractions.

Pros:

Cute. Funny. Interactive and 4D elements. Not too long.

Cons:

The little "stinger" that pokes you can be on the verge of painful is you have back issues, especially if you're not prepared for it, so be ready for that.

As a family we really like this 3D show but fair warning it has scared many younger children

3D, cute show, fun features

Cons:

dark, loud, has moments that can be scary for kids

This is not something for kids who are easily frightened or don't like bugs. The 4-D effects can be jarring considering the family-friendly nature of the movie it's based on and the benign appearance of the theater and queue. Overall I think the film was cute, the Hopper animatronic was impressive and imposing, and the 4-D effects were very memorable and entertaining.

Pros:

Short wait time. More entertaining than it seems. Some great 4-D effects.

Cons:

Can be scary for children.

Cute show in an air conditioned space! I don't know if it was my seat or maybe my 3D glasses were scratched or something but the 3D effects were not as clear as on other attractions.

Pros:

Air conditioning inside the tree of life!

Cons:

Watch your back....literally. Maybe don't sit all the way back in your seat
