I do not like scary things, that is why I love the Haunted Mansion! It is not really scary and is a fun ride in the Doom Buggy. There are some areas that get dark and might be scary for younger kids, but there are some fun parts too. One of my favorite parts is the ballroom scene.

Pros:

Not scary, fun ride, Disney classic

Cons:

Some parts might be scary for young children.

I truly am a Disney fan, but I just don’t understand the appeal of this ride. It’s just boring. The ride is very slow moving. The special effects, with the exception of the ballroom scene and the hitchhiking ghosts at the end, are lack luster. The “scary” section is tacky. You can see the posts holding up the severed head at one point. It would be funny if you didn’t wait 85 minutes to get on the ride. I am sure it would scare kids under 8 or 10 years old because there are graves and ghosts, but compared to modern videos games or even Halloween specials, it’s tame. I know part of it is supposed to be cute/funny but I couldn’t figure out which part that was. I know there is a cult following and people who grew up with this ride adore it, but I think for the average person, going the first time in this century this ride is one of the dullest. Overall my daughter and I couldn’t wait for it to end. One and done. I’m only glad I used a LL for it because I wouldn’t have wanted to lose an hour of my life for this yawn-fest.

Pros:

On ride photo Inside and air conditioned

Cons:

Slow Very dated effects Boring Some projections were out of focus Not scary or funny

I do not like Halloween or anything “spooky”. I only rode this since everyone said it was a “must do”. I ended up loving it!! All the scenes and technology were fantastic and load/unload was easy!

Pros:

Loved it!

Cons:

Line can get long

Theme, Music, Fun queue, Good length, Cool Ride System.

Cons:

Maybe too scary for very little ones, be prepared for extended pauses.

What a ride! I've only been to MK once in my life (for now) and I had watched a lot of ride videos because I was so excited. I'm happy that I watched them, because this dark ride is DARK. I thought my eyes just didn't adjust, but nope. It's that dark. Which makes it 1000% times spookier than I thought it would be going into it. And my gosh, Disney goes above and beyond with their smells. It truly smells like an old, musty house. I love the spooky bits, but I love the graveyard scene the most. The bride is so creepy to me! But in a good way. Due to COVID, I didn't get to experience the stretching room, but I'm sure it was just as awesome.

Pros:

It's classic. It's spooky, but family friendly. The smell truly immerses you.

Cons:

It's ultra dark. If you want to see what's going on, make sure to watch a ride video before.
