Horrbile. You are paying for the possibility that you might be able to get the lightning lane spot that you want. By the time you log on a 7am, all the good times for the rides you want are taken.

Pros:

You might by lucky and get a good lightning lane time for a ride you want.

Cons:

There is no guarantee that you will actually get a lightning lane spot on good rides at the time (or anywhere near the time) you want.

We loved this! Hubby, who is tech savvy, was in charge of Genie+ and I was in charge of food ordering and packing snacks, sunscreen, bug spray, money, etc. We went on soooo many rides, and waited no more than five minutes for any of them. Such a steal and it felt like VIP treatment to get escorted to the front so quickly for each one. After using Genie+, I’d never go back without it. We watched all of Mollys videos to help us understand it correctly before using it.

Pros:

Fast, time-saver, helps with planning, good for tech-savy individuals.

Cons:

You do have to walk a lot of attractions are in different lands. Some people may struggle if they don’t understand how it works.

No where near the value you received with the old fast pass system. First off, it's impossible to use with every ride, with Fast Pass you could. Secondly, you will navigate around the park in the most unorganized manner, and end up walking double or even triple the distance you normally would. If you pay for this service you should be abled to use it for nearly every ride/attraction. You will only be able to use it for a fraction of the rides/attractions. If booking times is so popular, keep it but bring back the fast pass for a 3rd option at an exclusive price.

Pros:

Non, unless you stay for 7 plus days and have a park hopper pass (which isn't even available until 2 pm). In this manner you may have time to literally sit somewhere and just wait. However, those with kids can't have idle time like this plus, staying only for 4-5 days would make it impossible see/do everything

Cons:

You aren't getting the value you pay for this feature. Worse, you will walk/run around the park in the most unorganized fashion, which will double and even triple the amount of steps you take

Since we go on VIP tours when we are staying at Disney, I love to be able to pay extra to avoid long lines with whining and complaining families. If these people can't afford a Disney trip they should stay home and watch TV

Pros:

Great for us and other refined guests

Cons:

Too inclusive, should raise price

well experienced Disney Parks fan review of Genie +

Pros:

none

Cons:

Parents on vacation need to be up by 7am to book "one" ride and hope they can get on others throughout the remainder of the day. No way to be efficient with this system in getting on good attractions. We can no longer get on all the rides we used to be able to. Terrible and little to no value.

Went to Epcot. The big rides were all cleared out by 8AM.

Pros:

Nothing

Cons:

The entire system. It doesn’t reserve the slot it shows so when you finally reserve you could have a completely different time. And it doesn’t show times based on your anticipated party size.

Waste of a lot of money. Lots of rides not available on it. Popular ones times fill up quick so by the time you use your first pass you’re left with either rides you don’t want or rides you do but they’re too late in the evening. The rides that aren’t on genie plus Disney have the cheek to have a lightning lane which you have to pay more for!

Pros:

You may save yourself some time for about £40 per ride

Cons:

Price, missing rides, late times if not quick enough, only 2 passes

We’ve been here a week in April and Used genie + everyday. Its absolutely useless and a waste of money. 1.) in high crowds youre lucky to get one fast pass for a top attraction. After that, during the day, none of the top rides are available again to book. Even the less popular attractions can be difficult to find a time slot for. 2.) in high season save your money and dont waste it on genie. It simply has no value and needs to be replaced by a better system 3) you end up constantly looking at your phone all day looking for any openings in rides to schedule and detracts from your overall disney experience.

Pros:

None during high season

Cons:

Zero value during heavy crowds

Bring back the Fast Pass please! The Genie Plus system turns the fun Disney Experience into a frustrating time of trying to find rides and messing up your dining plans. There is no way to plan your day in advance, so you’re in the smartphone a LOT searching instead of simply enjoying what you’ve planned. We tried to book Slinky Dog right at 7am when the system was active, selected 10:45am, but then ended up with 2:45!!! Having to PAY $15 more per person to have a worse experience is insult to injury! Also, I couldn’t believe some rides are not included! WHAT?!?!?! You have to pay another $15 for Lightning Lane?!?! The ticket propane already expensive, and now weee looking at $60 more per person per day?!?! Are you freaking kidding me?!?!? Frankly, this whole system makes me very angry. GO BACK TO FAST PASS that can be booked in advance!

Pros:

None

Cons:

MANY! Read my review!
