The price is right! I've used this by myself, with my family of 4, and with a big group of 8. We have been able to ride everything we wanted to and still worked in other items during slow moments. It really is worth the money.
Family of 4: 12 LLs in December 2021
Family of 8: 8 LLs in March 2022
By Myself: 7 LLs in 3 hours in May 2022
Pros:
We were able to do so much more than if we had to wait in the long lines! Less waiting in lines = less cranky kids (and parents). The price! It is really cheap compared to other theme parks.Cons:
The system is clunky and still has kinks to work out - wear your #patientpantsReviewed by JemmaL Review Date: 05/10/2022

I know that a lot of people on here hate Genie+. However, I have found that if you try hard, you can get quite a lot out of it. I went with my family at the end of March 2022, and we purchased Genie+ for all 3 days at Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and Epcot. We watched a TON of Molly videos beforehand, and while our trip itself felt a little bit stressful, I think that Genie+ wasn't at fault. I know we skipped a lot of lines during our trip, and I think that the money was worth how many hours we saved. I know that Genie+ might not be a good experience for everyone, but we managed to maximize it during our trip. The one thing I didn't like was that it appeared to not have enough servers in the MDE app, especially when thousands of people were logging on at 7:00 AM. There is a certain trick to the system, and I think that a lot of people don't like it because they haven't had enough experience with it. It is a little difficult to use, but all in all, it was worth the money. If you aren't planning on going to Magic Kingdom or Hollywood Studios, maybe don't buy it- definitely not necessary in Epcot and (probably) Animal Kingdom. If you don't want to ride a lot of rides, don't buy it. But if you want to hit up a lot of rides in Magic Kingdom or Hollywood Studios, it is definitely worth the money. I do recommend it because it was honestly pretty useful during our trip.
Pros:
-Lets you skip the line -If you can get it to work, saves hours of timeCons:
-App glitches out A LOT -A little tricky to useReviewed by Anonymous Review Date: 05/07/2022

The Disney Genie app tuned Disney from the happiest place on earth to the most frustrating place on earth. Constantly having to be in your phone so you can book the next attraction, dropped lightning lane bookings, not being able to get bookings on the rides everyone wants...this app is aweful and completely disappointing to a long time Dinsey faithful

What an absolute waste of money and a complete cash grab. I am SO ANGRY! You spend $15 per person ($90 A DAY EXTRA for a party of 6) for a slim 'chance' at booking one ride at 7AM (No chance of sleeping in then). When you've been on that ride, you can then book another but there are no slots left! Not all rides are included - you have to pay another $15 per ride, per person for rides that aren't included - ON TOP OF YOUR PARK TICKET. It's an absolute disgrace. The Fast Pass + system or virtual queue systems where fair and free and really allowed you to plan in advance. This just forces you to look at your phone all day and rush from one spot to another - totally ruins any immersion in the park environmetns. Whoever thought this up needs sacking. We will NEVER come back because of this shambles. It's already through the roof expensive and this is just gouging.
WHERE HAS THE MAGIC GONE DISNEY? To the shareholders, that's where - screw the guests.
DO NOT BUY!

Tried Genie+ for two of our 5 days in the parks at WDW. It was a complete waste of money. Pretty much useless in terms of getting lightning lane selections. Disney seems to sell more Genie+ tickets in a day than there are available selections - you're presented with a long list of attractions that are "no longer available today". This is unacceptable after paying $15 per person on top of the park ticket. I won't go back there until they get rid of that abomination.

You don't get what you pay for. Limited availability, even after you pay.Reviewed by tbelliott Review Date: 04/30/2022

So, I gotta say, that I was really hesitate to try Genie Plus because of all the negative reviews and comments. I just spent a week in WDW with another family. There were 8 of us in total and with the exception of me and my husband it was everyone's first time. We didn't purchase Genie Plus for our first day at the studios and we just didn't get as much done as I was hoping. Because I'm the mostly seasoned Disney person in the group I, happily, planned everything. We got it for our 2nd day which with at MK and we got all the mountains done, buzz and a few other things and I really felt we were able to get more done in less time. Our day at Animal Kingdom with Genie Plus was AMAZING. We did Everything. The key in booking your next experience right after you scan into the ride or as soon as it'll let you. We did pay extra Avatar but it was worth it to not wait in line. The family I came with doesn't really plan to come back to WDW and they knew it was going to be an expensive trip so they didn't mind paying more to do more. And you gotta get your first ride booked at 7 AM to get the most. You don't need to be there that early but it gets your day started and maxed out.
Pros:
Once you figure out how to use it, it's amazing.Cons:
It's expensive, but nothing is cheap at WDW so what are you going to do.Reviewed by Anonymous Review Date: 04/25/2022

If you want to have the best possible time at Disney, short of getting a VIP tour or renting out the park for private use, this is the best way. Paying for it sucks, but I would rather pay for it and get stuff done than wait in lines and accomplish very little. We used it on Ocy 21, 2021. It was brand new. We had no videos to help us prepare, or time to budget. There 12 people in our party...12! With rope dropping and Geinie ➕️ we only waited in long standby twice, and that's because I didn't know how to fiddle faddle! We also did not zigzag at all. If you have a decent understanding of the park layout you can plan ahead. We have already purchased it for our December trip and I've practiced enough at home that I'm confident we can mix Geinie + with rope drop and get everything done with a pool break in the middle of the day. If the price is high because of a large party then I suggest at least using it at MK and/or staying at a cheaper hotel to fit it in your budget for all the parks.

I have never used GENIE and do not want to. May never go back to WDW because of this. At some point, and we are there already, the price of goods and services will be out of reach for most people. How much money does Disney need to make? The GENIE apt does not appear to enhance the WDW experience. Disney should re-think this greedy money maker.
