Other than Splash and Big Thunder there’s no reason to hang out in Frontierland.

Pros:

Good rides

There’s just better lands

Frontierland is also one of my favorite lands in Magic Kingdom. Splash Mountain and Thunder Mountain Railroad are two of my favorite rides. I think the theming is great and it's fun to walk around and enjoy.

Pros:

Great rides and theming

Cons:

Frontierland the land itself I feel gets overlooked! Splash Mountain and Big Thunder, go on the rides and you’re done with it. This a great retail and foodie land! Pecos Bills is a fantastic quick service ! The Country Bear Jamboree is a fantastic audio animatronic stage show that lets you take a much needed break out of the sun. I get that contextually speaking, Frontierland doesn’t offer much attraction wise and I wish they’d add more versus changing what’s existing.

Pros:

Headliner Attractions, Accommodates the Thrill Seeker and Water Ride Seeker, Great Food/Retail

Cons:

Under-appreciated, Not many Attractions

Frontierland was definitely the land we used to run to when we visited WDW as kids. With TWO ‘mountains’, this land tops my list for attractions. The old west theming is cool too, and there are some fun entertainment options (If you have time you shoulen’t skip The Country Bear Jamboree - thank me later). Pecos Bill’s is a decent choice for lunch, but don’t expect anything spectacular.

Pros:

Splash Mountain AND Big Thunder Mountain Railroad! Great theming, fun entertainment.

Cons:

Food isn’t great, can often get very busy.

Frontierland has two iconic WDW rides: Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. However, despite having two of the most popular and well known rides, I don't think it has very much else going for it. Yes, Country Bear Jamboree is cute and sometimes you get to see the characters hanging out outside, but other than the big rides this land is lacking. Once they retheme Splash Mountain for Princess and the Frog they should revamp Diamond Horseshoe into Tiana's place! I wouldn't mind some New Orleans eats at the Magic Kingdom!

Pros:

BTMRR and Splash Mountain, Cute Bears at Country Bear Jamboree

Cons:

Needs better food options!

Disney is always coming through when it comes to theming, and Frontierland certainly does not lack in that department. If you’re a history nerd like me; this is the land for you. You’re going to feel like you’ve stepped back in time, and in the most magical way possible. It’s also a fun, and teachable place to bring kids while still maintaining that vacation vibe - what more could a parent ask for? Something else to be noted is that this land is home of the Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe, and I don’t care who you are, how many times you’ve been here, or when you’re coming back next - you need that Disney Christmas ornament.

Pros:

Excellent rides are located in this land - two of “the mountains” - Splash, and Big Thunder. Splash Mountain is a right of passage when visiting the Mouse, and Big Thunder is my personal favorite, and will be yours too if you don’t enjoy getting soaked.

Cons:

I honestly can’t think of any, and that’s a beautiful thing.

Probably my least favorite land in Magic Kingdom, although it does have one of my favorite rides (big thunder) and one of my favorite QS spot (Pecos Bills). Points off for the terrifying Country Bears.

Pros:

Has some great food and classic must do rides.

Cons:

Nightmare inducing Country Bears.

Some great rides in Frontierland. Big thunder is one of my favorite roller coasters. Parades also start here, which can make this land very crowded before parades.

Pros:

Rides

Cons:

Parades, crowds

This is a hard one because two of my favorite MK rides are in Frontierland, but also I'm kind of "meh" on the rest of it. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is a great gateway coaster for kids, and Splash Mountain is a classic (I can't wait for the Princess & the Frog retheme, whenever it comes).

Pros:

Great rides, easy to catch parades/cavalcades, and a handy escape-path if you've got places to be don't want to get caught behind a parade/cavalcade

Cons:

The retail locations are . . . fine. Also, Splash Mountain breaks down semi-regularly, so, uh, factor that into your plans.
