I love Big Thunder Mountain but this is definitely the worst version. It's boring compared to the others, but I would still recommend it since it's a classic.

Easily our favorite of the mountains in the park! The views are amazing, not super intense and a good ride for all ages to enjoy.
Pros:
Great views great family coaster GoatsCons:
Long wait time without FPReviewed by MarthalovesDisney Review Date: 06/13/2019

Fun fast coaster with lots of twists and turns. This ride does not contain loops and only requires a lap restraint. This ride is good for families as little ones fit between parents to feel safe but brave. While on Big Thunder make sure to look out for Galaxy’s Edge when on the climb up then turn back to look at a goat to get that dizzy feeling (not recommended if you are prone to motion sickness). This ride is the best in the West!
Pros:
Fun for one and all with great viewsCons:
Line can get long and not much shade while waitingReviewed by Anonymous Review Date: 04/18/2019

Big Thunder is my family and my favorite ride. We love everything at Disneyland, but many times have voted this the fav. It is a sort of roller coaster. It has some twists and turns. It is one of the "wilder rides" in the patk, yet it isn't too wild. If you have a child who is big enough to ride tjid, I'm sure they'd love it. I think it is better for kids compared to Space Mountain because it isn't a dark ride.
