Disney Planning Not Two, But Three New Ships

Disney fans attending D23 Expo in Anaheim were the first to hear that Disney Cruise Line is planning not two, but three new ships in the next phase of expansion. Last year, it was announced that two new ships were going to be built at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Germany with scheduled completion dates of 2021 and 2023. This additional ship will be built at the same shipyard and is scheduled to be completed in 2022.

Star Wars Enhancements, New Experiences Coming Soon to Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resorts

Several Star Wars-related changes have been noted around Disney's Hollywood Studios in the last few weeks: Watto's Grotto, selling a variety of Star Wars-themed merchandise, has opened on the site of the former AFI Showcase, near the Studio Catering Company. Additionally, construction of the new Star Wars Launch Bay in the Animation Courtyard is in progress and is expected to be completed in December.

The Jungle Cruise, one of Magic Kingdom's most popular attractions, has delighted guests for years. And as it was just announced at the D23 Expo, Jungle Cruise fans will have even more to look forward to later this year when the brand-new Jungle Navigation Co., Ltd. Skipper Canteen restaurant opens in Adventureland. The Jungle Skipper Canteen is currently under construction and will open its doors in late 2015.

Flowers? Gardens? Not for me!

Epcot Flower and Garden Festival. To me, that usually means hibernation until the fun festival - Epcot's Food and Wine Festival - opens. There's a good reason for that. I am not an outdoorsy kind of guy. Give me an indoor project like tearing out a wall or updating a kitchen and I'm all over it. Can't get started fast enough. But give me a yard project like planting flowers or landscaping and I'll put it off until it snows... and I live in Florida in the winter. A little knowledge is a powerful thing.
