Genie+ has been around for many years now, but it’s still quite controversial.

We get it — we miss skipping the lines for free too, but as Disney World gets more crowded, many families feel it’s necessary for their vacation so they can ride as many attractions as they can. Genie+ is priced per person, per day, and fluctuates in price depending on how busy the parks are. We have a pretty good guess that we’re in the thick of spring break crowds, because Genie+ just hit a record price in Disney World.
If you’re in Disney World today, you’ll be paying the highest price we’ve seen for Genie+ in 2024 — $39 per person!

If you’re park hopping, $39 is what you’ll have to pay for Genie+ for the Multiple Parks option, but you’ll also pay $39 if you’re just heading to Magic Kingdom. (The Multiple Parks option follows the price of the highest-priced park, which is typically Magic Kingdom.)

You’ll be paying $35 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, $32 at EPCOT, and “only” $29 at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. (As a side note: Animal Kingdom is usually the cheapest for Genie+ since it’s less in demand than the other parks.)

We still have a few more weeks of spring break season (which usually lasts from the beginning of March through the first two weeks of April), and we’ve seen crowds ALL over the place. After spring break, we’ll have a few weeks until summer hits and crowds (usually) rise again for 3 months.

$39. Per person per day. WOW. Family of 4 that decides to spend school break at WDW. If they decide to get a 4 day pass with Genie Plus, that will be $552 per person just to go to the parks (and that is with the current $99 per day deal for tickets. That’s $2000+ more for your vacation.
The article points out that the price for Genie+ is the highest they have ever seen. Do you think its going to go down in the future?
Lastly, in terms of crowd management, what do you think would work better: the old fast pass system where you picked 3 rides a couple of months in advance or the Genie+ system where no one can pick until the day you go to the park?
