HOT TAKE: Don’t Use Genie+ OR Rope Drop THIS Disney World Ride

Disney World is a very busy place filled with busy rides.

If you’re not prepared, and you visit the parks without a solid game plan, you could spend your whole Disney day waiting in lines. I don’t know about you, but that sounds very un-fun. So, we typically recommend utilizing Genie+ or rope dropping experiences to ensure that you’re able to experience all that you want. There are some attractions that we almost ALWAYS recommend using Genie+ or rope dropping times to ride. However, there are a few that seem like you’d need one of those, but you totally don’t. Let’s talk about it!

Test Track in EPCOT is one of the attractions that seemingly always has excruciatingly high waits. It can seem like you might need to rope drop it or purchase a Lightning Lane or Genie+ to be able to experience it. We’re here to tell you not to waste your time or money.

If you take a look at the wait times from December 13th below, you’ll see a pretty standard day at Disney World. Wait times were pretty average for each of the rides.

If you take a look at the wait times for Test Track, you’ll see that the wait times quite literally soar at rope drop. Heck, they stay petty high all day long!

However, there are a few times throughout the day when the wait times randomly drop off and become much more bearable. 25 minutes? We’d wait 25 minutes for Test Track, totally!

Moral of the story: keep a close eye on the Disney World app and the wait times throughout the day to ensure that you’re getting the most out of your day in the park.
