While there are lots of “controversial” topics that Disney fans just can’t seem to agree on, most Disney fans can agree on this one thing.
Soarin’ Around the World is one of the best iconic Disney World attractions! Located in EPCOT, this iconic attraction is CHANGING soon in honor of Disney’s 100th Anniversary Celebration.
On September 22nd, Soarin’ Around the World will retire for a brief period while Soarin’ Over California RETURNS!
So many Disney fans are excited about this change, as Soarin’ Over California was the original attraction that came to EPCOT but was replaced with Soarin’ Around the World in 2016.
Particularly, folks are excited to once again smell the orange scent that accompanies the orange grove scene!
As of right now, Disney hasn’t announced an end date for Soarin’ Over California or for the Disney100 Celebration. We’re assuming it’ll end at the end of 2023, but Disney usually surprises us with things like this. (Like, am I the only person who feels like we celebrated Disney World’s 50th Anniversary for eons?)

I prefer Soaring over the World instead of Soaring over California. I have seen both. There is no comparison.
