NEWS: Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Remains CLOSED in Disney World!

One Disney World attraction has been unexpectedly closed for several days straight!

We’ve been keeping an eye on the wait times in Disney World over the past few months. But something interesting has already stuck out to us about 2021…Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster featuring Aerosmith has been listed as temporarily closed for the past several days!

The coaster was up and running in Disney’s Hollywood Studios on New Year’s Eve. But Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster was listed as temporarily closed all day on New Year’s Day, and it also remained closed all day on January 2nd.

As of noon on January 3rd, the attraction was listed as temporarily closed in My Disney Experience.

Then, on the morning of January 4th, the roller coaster was still closed. How will the passengers ever get their VIP tickets to the concert??

It’s now been closed for a total of FIVE days! The extended closure has continued through the morning of January 5th, 2021. We’re continuously monitoring the wait times for any further information!

This means the ride has not been opened to guests so far in 2021. Disney hasn’t released details on why the attraction has been closed for the past several days, but we’ll keep an eye out for any further updates!

  1. Someone there today asked a CM about it and was told that the mechanism that propels the coaster at the very beginning is having issues.
