You’re in EPCOT, you’re hangry, you’re overheated, and you seriously need to sit down, but the only last-minute reservation you can get is at a restaurant that you’ve heard is bad.

Can you safely try these places or will they push your situation from bad to worse?

we were so excited to get reservations at canada. the food was terrible. everything was so salty. for the price we paid, it totaly wasn’t worth it.
Everything tastes better when you’re on vacation. When people rave about a certain restaurant at Disney World I always ask them if they would patronize this restaurant (service, food, price) if it was 15 minutes from their house? Is that steak really that good? Does that buffet really serve good food or does Winnie the Pooh make it taste better? Of course, any day at Disney World is better than any day at home.
Just shows that even with the highest of ratings you can have a bad experience. We have been to WDW a dozen times with wonderful dining experiences but our single worst sit down experience was at Chefs de France. We waited for 45 minutes before our server showed up, people who sat down after us were greeted almost immediately. We tried flagging down servers, went back to the front and it appeared that the staff was still arguing about who had our table. This was intended as a special experience for my wife and instead became the place we will never go back to. We had wonderful meals at the Coral Reef and Le Cellier.
I did not love Le Cellier either. I just don’t expect to spend that much money unless I am getting a great meal and great atmosphere every time. I guess I expected a steak dinner at a nice steakhouse like I would find in a major city. Le Cellier isn’t that. Your packed in the restaurant with other people. Its loud. There are all sorts of people eating there. Screaming kids, crying babies, etc. In fairness, its a steakhouse in a theme park. My expectations were way off. If you want a nice steakhouse experience go to the steakhouse at the yacht club.
the food was ok.
