We’ve been exploring EPCOT and checking out everything that has changed since the closure in March.
EPCOT reopened with a modified version of the International Food and Wine Festival. They paired down the menus, experiences, and entertainment given the new health and safety protocols. We were curious to see how entertainment would be handled given the new circumstances.
Disney created a new virtual guidebook on the My Disney Experience app. The paperless guide was designed to help guests navigate their way through the Food and Wine Festival. There are two options listed under Live Entertainment: the Mariachi Cobre and the JAMMitors.
The app notes that both groups would perform in the America Gardens Theatre. Prior to closing, the Mariachi Cobre would perform in front of Mexico Pavilion while the JAMMitors were often seen in Future World. We headed to the theatre to try and catch a glimpse of the new setup!
The full Mariachi band was performing on the stage. The performers were spaced out from each other and the first few rows were blocked off to keep their distance from the audience.
Every other row was blocked off in the amphitheater. There was plenty of room to space out parties when we visited.
The JAMMitors are using the same setup and performing on the stage as well. Overall, the entertainment experience wasn’t too different than what we experienced before. The only change was that we weren’t intimately close to the group. We’ll keep you updated as we experience all the new changes at EPCOT and beyond!

I wonder why the music concert s were cancelled. If we can distance ourselves for the Jammitors, we can certainly distance ourselves for Herman’s Hermits. We love going to EPCOT during Food and Wine Festival , and all the famous musicians enhance the experience. Or bring back the super talented Broadway stars. I heard they have some time on their hands. Maybe the NBA stars are using all the vip rooms. I hope Disney reconsiders . Please, bring back the concerts!
