The EPCOT Transformation may be over, but there is still more in store for EPCOT.

Over the summer, Test Track 2.0 closed to make way for Test Track 3.0, which will be inspired by its predecessor, World of Motion. It was announced that the new attraction would open in 2025, and construction is already underway. Test Track is not the only thing opening in EPCOT in 2025. A brand new lounge is coming to EPCOT as well, and we finally have an opening date!
It was announced at D23 that EPCOT would be getting a Spaceship Earth Lounge. We knew that the lounge would open in late spring 2025, but now we have an official date.

The lounge’s official name is GEO-82 will open on June 4th, with reservations opening on May 6th.

This new lounge will be inspired by the “stories, shapes, and enduring legacy” of Spaceship Earth. There will be lots of rich textures and warm metallic tones for a “mysterious and elegant intimacy.” Also, it is an adults-only lounge, making it one of the only spaces in Disney World where kids are not allowed. It will even have a view of the fireworks.

While the Spaceship Earth overhaul never happened during the EPCOT Transformation, we are glad that there will be this new lounge. EPCOT is not the only park getting a ride-inspired lounge. Magic Kingdom’s Adventureland will soon be home to a Pirates of the Caribbean Lounge, which is set to also open in 2025.

We can’t wait to get more details about the Spaceship Earth Lounge and look forward to grabbing a drink and a bite to eat when it opens on June 4th.

Are you excited about this lounge? Let us know in the comments!
It’s going to be a great location for fireworks and a place where those of us who have been there since the beginning will enjoy the thought behind the decor. Also interested in the Pirates lounge – another one of our favorite rides. We began as a young couple going to Disney before EPCOT was built. It’s been amazing to watch all the transformations which is why we got the DVC in 1993 and have shared with family and friends all these years.
Where exactly is the new lounge in epcot? And what is minimum age, can a 16 year old get in, we have to purchase an adult ticket for him??
Hi Dave. Disney’s website states that the age Requirement for GEO-82 is exclusive to Guests ages 21 and up with valid photo identification.
What age? I wonder if you need to be over 18 or 21. Technically an adult is someone who is 18
