Since Galaxy’s Edge opened at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland in 2019, there have been few Disney souvenirs more popular than a custom Lightsaber! These high-quality souvenirs can be purchased for $249. from Savi’s Workshop. More attraction than store, Savi’s allows guests to construct their “very own lightsaber and bring it to life through the power of Kyber Crystals” as part of a special effects-laden ceremony steeped in Star Wars lore. However, the ability to customize one’s Lightsaber doesn’t end with the conclusion one the ceremony.
In Star Wars canon, Kyber Crystals are rare “Force-attuned” crystals that grow naturally on various planets across the galaxy, and both the Jedi and the Sith in the construction of their Lightsabers. When building at Savi’s, guests can choose between purple, green, blue or red Kyber Crystals (each of which has a different meaning in the Star Wars saga) to install in the hilt of their saber, and in turn will be the color of their light-up blade.
However, what many guests don’t know is that they can purchase the other three Kyber Crystal colors (as well as a changing rotation of others, including yellow, black, white, and rare chase colors, to name a few) at Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities. Not only can these crystals be collected and displayed, but they can be installed in the hilt of a Savvi’s handbuilt Lightsaber and change the color of the blade!
(NOTE: Blade colors can only be changed with Kyber Crystals on Savvi’s hand-built Lightsabers. The prop-replica sabers sold at Dok-Ondar’s have fixed blade colors).
In addition to working with Saber, Kyber Crystals can also be plugged into the Jedi and Sith Holocrons available in the land, accessing lighting effects and sound effects representing various Star Wars characters.

Sorry, but what is the “New” upgrade? Additional crystals have been available for years if not from the start.
not worth the money in my opinion. if you want better quality (but it’ll cost more) i would recommend either korbanth or Padawan Outpost for a replica saber.
