We are seriously obsessed with Epic Universe!

Quincy at Epic Universe!

The brand new Universal theme park officially opens on May 22nd, 2025, but we’ve already been able to head inside to check it all out. This theme park is, well, knocking it out of the park! Now we’re back to try out one of the most anticipated foods in the entire park.

Epic Universe has 11 new rides, more than 30 dining options, and tons of entertainment throughout the park. One of the most anticipated dining spots is in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter — the Ministry of Magic!

Over at Café L’air De La Sirèneyou can find what might be the most anticipated snack in the entirety of Epic Universe. This quick service is a cafe where guests can try out French sandwiches, plats du jour, and desserts like the Bièraubeurre Crepe. You haven’t heard of a Bièraubeurre Crepe? Well, it’s a Butterbeer Crepe!

Inside Cafe L’Air De La Sirene

Ever since Universal announced this dessert, we have been dying to try it, and we finally got our hands on one! The crepe is a thin crepe filled with shortbread cookie, butter, Bavarian cream, and Butterbeer cream folded inside for $19.99.

The butterbeer crepe!

Can we just appreciate her beauty for a moment? We couldn’t resist too much longer, so it was finally time to dive in. It was two crepes stacked together with the rich butterscotch sauce and whipped cream on top. (Spoiler: The whipped cream tastes just like the foam on top of the Butterbeer drinks!) The strawberries on top added a bit of tartness, which helped to balance the sweetness of the crepe.

Take a bite!

There was also a shortbread cookie on top with the word “Bièraubeurre” written on top. It means Butterbeer in French if you don’t know. Overall, the cookie was a bit dry, and the ink, while edible, wasn’t overly flavorful. The crepe itself didn’t offer a ton of flavor, letting the butterbeer filling carry the flavor.

A look inside!

It was super sweet and we think easily shareable. If you’re a butterbeer fan, this is an absolute must-have. If you don’t love super sweet treats, you might want to steer clear of this dessert. We also grabbed the non-dairy Bièraubeurre Glacée for  $8.99 to wash it all down!

The non-dairy Butterbeer!

This vegan butterbeer isn’t new, but it never hurts to double-check the flavor every once and a while! This drink tastes exactly like the ones we’ve had in the past! It’s as tasty as ever. There is very little difference between this drink and a traditional butterbeer, with the only noticeable change being the cold foam. It’s a bit sweeter than the original, but it’s a super subtle change.

Artwork inside the cafe!

We are absolutely thrilled this special dessert lived up to the hype and can’t wait to grab it over and over again when the park opens later next month. As always, be sure to keep following AllEars for more Epic Universe news and updates.
