3 Life-Changing Announcements for Disney World Annual Passholders in 2025

Being a Disney World annual passholder comes with a whole lot of perks — and things are about to get even BETTER in 2025!

Annual Pass

Disney has announced a ton of exciting additions and experiences for the parks and beyond this year and we can’t wait to see them ALL. Whether you’ve been an annual passholder for a while or are considering joining the club, don’t miss these life-changing announcements.

Don’t miss out on these game-changing announcements for annual passholders in Disney World this year!

Lounge-a-palooza

We don’t know if you’ve heard, but there are TWO new lounges coming to Disney World this year. At Magic Kingdom, a Pirates of the Caribbean lounge is opening sometime later this year, and promises to transport you to a “swashbucklin’ world of adventure.”

You can choose from both grog and grub as you enjoy the details and atmosphere. Disney also wrote that there will be “more than a few mysterious and magical surprises in store!” We don’t have an official opening timeline or many other details yet, but we know we can’t wait to check it out!

And, over at EPCOT, a new Spaceship Earth lounge — officially called GEO-82 — will be opening sometime this year as well. This lounge will be inspired by the “stories, shapes, and enduring legacy” of Spaceship Earth. There will be lots of rich textures and warm metallic tones for a “mysterious and elegant intimacy.”

Disney also revealed that this lounge will require Advance Dining Reservations, but most notably, it will only be open to guests 21+. We know you’ll be able to order innovative cocktails and “globally influenced” small plates, and we’re looking forward to seeing a menu and reading what exactly those will entail.

While these lounges won’t be exclusive to them, annual passholders will soon have even more places to hang out in the parks!

Water Park Double Whammy

For the first time since 2019, both Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach will be open at the same time this summer! Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach — Disney World’s two water parks — have, for the last several years, operated on an alternating schedule where only one park is open at a time.

Blizzard Beach

From May 21st through September 7th, 2025, both of the water parks will be in operation for guests to choose between. Disney shared that this is in celebration of Cool Kid Summer (which has several fun things coming soon) and Blizzard Beach’s 30th anniversary.

This is excellent news for annual passholders who have the water-park upgrade on their pass — or those who are looking to add it

Characters Close to Home

Gone are the days when you’d have to buy a park ticket or book a pricey character meal to meet your favorites — regularly scheduled character experiences are starting to pop up around the hotels! That means you have the chance for some fun character interactions without even having to leave your hotel.

Wilderness Lodge

So far, we’ve spotted these character experiences at Port Orleans French Quarter, Wilderness Lodge, and more. This is perfect for annual passholders staying at these hotels and we expect more to be rolled out soon!

We’ll be on the lookout for more updates from Disney World. In the meantime, make sure you stay tuned to AllEars for the latest Disney news and more!

  1. Wow. I thought maybe for almost 1500 dollars Disney was going to give us annual pass holders maybe 10 days of multipass for free or maybe a few premium pass days… life changing.. a place to eat or sit down and not just for annual pass holders …. Thanks

  2. Still too little too late but at least they know they messed up. I hope Epic Universe does so well that they fire Iger.

  3. This seems to be news to everyone willing to pay for it. Nothing here special or exclusive for APs. New place to eat (ADRs sounds like if you’re not buying food or drink, you can’t just go in to relax/recharge). More parks to buy tickets for, or hotels to overpay for. Hard pass (no pun intended).

  4. I don’t really see how these changes benefit Passholders. Sounds like they are for any guest. I am an out of state passholder and that comes with a high price tag. Think we could use a few more perks to help offset those of us who don’t get to come as often.
