5 Things I Wish I Knew Before Cruising on the Disney Treasure

If you are getting ready to set sail with Mickey and friends on the Disney Treasure, you will want to know these things first!

Our team has been on a few Disney Cruise Line ships, and we each have our favorite one. Setting sail on the open seas with Disney can be so much fun. However, there are a few things you will want to make note of before you embark on Disney’s newest ship, the Treasure!

1. The Stairs Are Your Friend

The elevators on the ship can take a long time when they get crowded. This can happen around meal times or during disembarkation. You will want to be prepared to wait or take the stairs. Taking the stairs is likely going to be faster.

2. It Gets Cramped

Some of the spaces on board the ship can get very crowded. Most of these spaces are on the smaller side. Now, you will get to experience them all if you want. Be prepared to be patient, or instead of heading off the ship when it’s docked at a destination, stay on and explore these spaces.

3. Don’t Skip the Shows

The shows on the Treasure are incredible. You can watch “Disney The Tale of Moana” while on board, and you should find time to do so. The stage show includes a cut song from the film “Warrior Face.” so this is one of the only places you will be able to hear it! Make time for these incredibly immersive shows.

4. Look For the Details

Over at the Haunted Mansion Parlour, you will find incredible details. Not only is the decor, like the chandeliers, carpet, and color combinations, directly from the attraction, but we also finally got to see some of the smaller hidden details in person, too, like the bust of Rolly Crump, who played an integral part of the creation the Haunted Mansion attraction!

At the Scat Cat Lounge, if you look closely at the murals on the wall, you’ll find the cats from the film Aristocats that inspired this space. On the piano, there are three sets of paw prints — one is Scat Katz’s, one is Thomas O’Malley’s, and one is Marie’s. The prints are all matched to their choreography in the film!

5. Study a Map

The Treasure is a huge ship, and it can be so easy to get lost, especially on your first time! Don’t worry if you get turned around. You can find a Cast Member to ask for directions to where you are heading, or look in the Navigator app!
