How in the world is it already April?!

We’ve been asking ourselves that question all week long, and we can’t believe how fast the year is flying by. Disney is getting ready to celebrate Easter in the parks with special snacks and merchandise, spring break crowds are descending upon the parks to celebrate their week off of school, and temperatures are slowly rising as summer approaches. If you’re heading to the parks any time this April, make sure you know about these ride closures!
Magic Kingdom
Magic Kingdom has the most closures this month, however, they’re all attractions that have been under refurbishment for a few months now. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is the first one on the list, as it has been since January, and will continue to be until at least the beginning of 2026.

Astro Orbiter will also remain closed all month long, as it undergoes its massive, monthslong refurb. At this time, we don’t have an exact reopening date, but we do know it’ll be closer to late spring or summer 2025.

Finally, Hall of Presidents will remain closed all throughout the month of April as it undergoes the refurbishment it does every four years after an election (or sometimes every eight, if someone is in for two consecutive terms).
EPCOT
The only other closure happening this month is over in EPCOT. Test Track will remain closed throughout the month of April and has a reopening timeline of Summer 2025, though no official date has been announced yet.

We’re really looking forward to seeing what the new version of this attraction will look like when it reopens, and are hoping we’ll get an official date announced soon!

It was nice to see Johnny Depp when we were on the ride Pirates of the Caribbean. You should bring him back he made a lot of money for Disney.
