We Spent $15 on This Random Meal in Magic Kingdom, and We’d Do It Again and Again

Dining at Disney World on a budget isn’t for the faint of heart.

Columbia Harbour House

Finding the best cheap eats around the parks is like a game to us, and it’s one we’ve gotten quite good at over the years. You can find plenty of eats that won’t break the bank if you know where to look — and this random, $15 meal at Magic Kingdom never lets us down.

You can find plenty of meals for under $15 around Magic Kingdom and the rest of Disney World, which is why this particular one has landed on our list for an entirely different reason. It doesn’t get more random than quick-service salmon from Magic Kingdom, but we will forever sing the praises of this Columbia Harbour House dish.

Maple-Mustard Glazed Salmon

The Maple-Mustard Glazed Salmon at Columbia Harbour House is $14.79, and y’all, we can’t stop ordering it. Disney added it to the menu as a limited-time item, but it must have been so popular they added it to the menu year-round. The salmon is fresh and tender, and while it can be overcooked at times, it’s still incredible quality for a theme park fast food spot.

The mustard sauce is tangy and sweet and really cuts through the fattiness of the fish itself. You can taste both the maple and the mustard well, and the whole-grain mustard adds a fun texture to the dish.

This dish comes with your choice of two sides, with the option to get french fries, green beans, rice, or hush puppies. In the past, we’ve ordered the green beans and hush puppies and were pretty impressed. The green beans were very fresh and cooked perfectly with a bit of a bite left in them, and you can’t go wrong with those crispy, fluffy, golden hush puppies.
