REVIEW: It’s BACK! We’ve Been Waiting 3 YEARS for This $5 Norway Pavilion Treat To Return in EPCOT

Ah, the day in the life of a Disney World reporter — you never know where the job will take you! Today, we’re headed to a popular little bakery in the Norway Pavilion at EPCOT for a FUN assignment. Wanna come along?

Here’s the lowdown: around 2022, the menu at Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe changed a bit. You see, there was a famous Troll Horn dessert available here that started to come and go from the menu due to “supply issues.” Since 2022, we’ve been seriously missing this snack, but on this fine day, it’s time to check in on the old Troll Horn treat.

Let’s rewind. The 2022 version of this treat was a puff pastry horn filled with cream — typically an orange marmalade cream. This was a fan-favorite snack from the Norway Pavilion!

Now, during our latest visit to the Bakeri, we spotted something new, and it looks promising! Is that what we think it is?

It’s BACK! The Troll Horn has a new filling — it’s described as a chocolate cream-filled pastry shell with coffee crunch, but it’s still made with that signature horn-shaped pastry shell. This treat is $4.79 and counts as a snack credit on the Disney Dining Plan. 

Ugh, this was divine! It was sweet (but not too sweet), crunchy, and perfectly chocolatey. The outer shell is sugary and brittle, so be prepared for a nice, satisfying crunch. You might want to eat this thing fast (or grab a stack of napkins) because it quickly melts and turns into a messy snack in the Florida sun.

We’re SO GLAD this treat is back! We can’t say for certain how long it will stick around, but we’re seriously hoping this becomes a permanent menu item once again. If you’re in EPCOT, stop by and give it a try — you won’t regret it! For under $5, this is a great little treat that gives you the perfect hit of sugar in the middle of a busy day in EPCOT.

If you’re not a fan of chocolate, you can also try the famous School Bread from the Kringla Bakeri. It’s a sweet roll filled with custard and dipped in coconut, and trust us, this one is amazing, too.

As you can see, we had a great time at our pitstop in the Norway Pavilion today. Don’t sleep on the Kringla Bakeri!
