You’ll Never Guess Which Magic Kingdom Ride Closed 55 Times (!!!) Over the Past 27 Days

Like it or not, ride closures are just part of a day in Disney World. We know they’re unpleasant and are the last thing you want to happen when you’ve planned the perfect day, but that’s why we say it’s essential to have backup plans.

Cosmic Rewind

We keep track of all the latest ride closures at Disney World to help you plan your upcoming trip. Sometimes, certain rides close more than others. After looking at the data from February, we’ve decided we’re VERY concerned about these Disney World rides.

Below is the full list of ride closures in each Disney World park between February 1st and February 28th, 2025.

Magic Kingdom

Imagine our surprise when we saw that the number one culprit of ride closures in Magic Kingdom was none other than Prince Charming Regal Carrousel, which closed 55 times over 27 days! Now, we understand this ride is pretty old and could need some TLC, but if that’s the case, let’s get it some help before it continues to close even more.

Prince Charming’s Regal Carrousel

The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh closed 30 times over 20 days, and while this ride isn’t as popular as Peter Pan’s Flight, it still sees relatively high wait times, so we can understand why this one closes down a little more.

Finally, Haunted Mansion had a bit of a rough month, closing 24 times over 17 days. That’s not terrible, but we haven’t seen it on the monthly closures list in a while, so something may be going on here that you’ll want to keep in mind during your trip.

EPCOT

Continuing with the “smaller rides having issues” trend, we’ve got The Seas with Nemo & Friends, which closed 28 times in 17 days! This ride is an omnimover attraction, meaning it doesn’t ever stop unless a forced stop is required to help someone exit, or there’s an issue, but these were FULL closures, not just momentary stops. What’s going on here?

Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure also had quite a rough month, closing 27 times in 17 days. This ride is more technologically advanced, so we understand a higher rate of closures, but even this was more closures than expected!

Another omnimover attraction, Spaceship Earth, closed 19 times in 12 days! Again, this isn’t a ride we typically see on this list, and while it’s popular, it doesn’t get nearly the same length of wait times we see as others, so we’re very curious as to what’s happening over here!

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

To be honest, there are very few small “filler” attractions in Hollywood Studios, so we’re not surprised all the rides on this list are heavy hitters. We’re especially not surprised that the most commonly closed ride was Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, at 25 times in 16 days.

Rise of the Resistance

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith continues to have issues despite its multiple refurbishments over the past few years. It closed 22 times in 16 days, and we’re very curious to see if this curse can be broken when the Muppets take over.

Finally, Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway closed 18 times in 10 days, which isn’t too bad for this trackless dark ride! It’s not great, but it’s also not terrible, so we’ll take it.

Animal Kingdom

Animal Kingdom is running low on attractions with all these closures and refurbishments going on, but DINOSAUR won this out, closing 14 times in 10 days. That’s not awful, but again, considering there are so few rides here, any unexpected closure isn’t great.

DINOSAUR

Second on this list was Expedition Everest, which closed 9 times in 9 days. Honestly, for a ride as old as Everest, that’s not bad at all! Look at you go, you big mountain, you, great job!
