Disney World is ever-evolving and changing, and that’s part of the reason we’re here — to keep you updated on all the latest changes so you know what’s coming.

We recently got the news that Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind would be switching over from Virtual Queues to regular standby lines later this month. And by later this month, we mean TOMORROW!
This will cause MASSIVE ride wait time fluctuations for nearly all major attractions in both Magic Kingdom and EPCOT, specifically EPCOT. Currently, we see Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure and Frozen Ever After with the highest waits in EPCOT, but we have a feeling that’s about to change drastically.

As for Magic Kingdom, the most popular rides in the park fluctuate, but TRON Lightcycle / Run is easily up there. However, since TRON and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure are very different types of rides, and it’s currently still pretty chilly for water rides in the park, we don’t foresee Tiana’s moving to a standby line affecting TRON’s wait times too much just yet.

So what exactly does this mean? Well, you’ll no longer need to wake up at 7 AM (or try a second time at 1 PM) to try and grab a spot to ride either attraction. Instead, you’ll just be able to walk up to both attractions and get in line. However, if you’re looking to skip the (very likely) long wait, you can purchase Lightning Lane Multi Pass for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and have it included (or purchase Lightning Lane Premier Pass for Magic Kingdom and all the lines in the park once).

As for Cosmic Rewind, you’ll need to purchase a Lightning Lane Single Pass to skip the attraction, or again, you can purchase Lighting Lane Premier Pass for the park as a whole and skip the line that way.

These changes start TOMORROW, February 25th, 2025, so if you’re heading to the parks after that date, you’ll want to remember that there will currently be no Virtual Queues in the parks. However, that’s not to say they won’t come back in the future for other new attractions, as that’s always a possibility.
