If you’ve been to Disney World before, you know they’re not hurting when it comes to the options you have for getting around the property.

If you’ve ever been on the Skyliner, you know that it’s an amazing way to travel between Disney’s Hollywood Studios, EPCOT, and several resorts at Disney World. But just like all forms of transportation, it’s got its own quirks. So, before you hop into your Skyliner gondola, let’s talk about the one simple thing you’re going to want to do!
In case you didn’t know, the Skyliner can (and does) pause mid-air, sometimes for a few minutes, sometimes longer, and let’s be real – there’s nothing worse than feeling trapped when all you can think about is finding the nearest restroom. And that’s why before you hop into your Skyliner gondola, do yourself a favor and make a quick bathroom stop.
Why You Should Always Use the Bathroom Before the Skyliner
Disney’s Skyliner is a smooth and efficient transportation system, but it’s not always predictable. Unexpected delays can happen for any number of reasons: wheelchair and ECV boardings, gondola slowdowns at stations, or even technical pauses. While most rides are quick, a delay could leave you suspended in the air, staring longingly at the nearest restroom way off in the distance.

Unlike the monorail or buses, you can’t just hop off whenever you need to. Once you’re on, you’re on. And while the gondolas are breezy with their cross-ventilation system, they don’t come equipped with emergency restrooms. That’s why a pre-ride pit stop is a must.
The Best Bathroom to Use: Caribbean Beach Resort Skyliner Station
If you’re looking for the perfect place to go before you go, head straight to the Skyliner Station at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort.

This station isn’t just the biggest Skyliner hub, it also has some of the nicest, cleanest, and most reliable restrooms you’ll find in Disney World.

Caribbean Beach Resort’s Skyliner station serves as the transfer point between different Skyliner routes. If you’re traveling from Disney’s Pop Century or Art of Animation Resorts and heading to either EPCOT or Hollywood Studios, you’ll be stopping here to switch lines anyway.

This makes it the ideal place to take a quick restroom break before continuing your journey.
What Makes These Bathrooms So Great?
-
- No Long Lines – Unlike the bathrooms inside the parks, which can be packed (especially in the middle of the day), these restrooms are usually quiet and easy to access.
- Super Clean – Disney is known for keeping things tidy, and these bathrooms are no exception. They’re consistently well-maintained and stocked with everything you need.
- Spacious and Peaceful – Compared to some of the smaller, busier bathrooms scattered around Disney property, this spot gives you room to breathe (and freshen up if needed).
- Perfect for a Quick Touch-Up – Need to wash your hands, check your face, or adjust your Minnie ears? This is the place to do it without feeling rushed.

When to Stop
If your plans include taking the Skyliner at any point in the day, whether in the morning on your way to a park or later in the evening heading back to your resort, this bathroom break should be part of your routine. It’s especially important if you’ve just grabbed a Joffrey’s coffee or a giant drink from your resort refillable mug (hydration is important, but so is planning ahead!).

Sure, Disney days are magical, but they’re also full of little logistical challenges. Using the bathroom before hopping on the Skyliner is one of those small but essential steps that can save you from an uncomfortable situation later. It only takes a minute, and trust us – you’ll thank yourself when you’re soaring high above Disney World, enjoying the view stress-free.
