Let’s talk Disney!

Disney World is constantly changing with major changes like lands closing permanently, construction walls going up in the parks, and more. While some things are constantly changing, some things stay the same and for me, one thing that doesn’t change is my feelings about one specific Disney merch item.

Okay guess, stay with me on this one but I hate Disney World ponchos. It’s not just a dislike, it’s a hate if I’m being honest with myself.

Disney World ponchos are sometimes a necessity which is why there are dozens of them in my home so if you end up needing a poncho, I get it! Disney World has random rain storms most days during the summer and, frankly, I do forget my rain gear more often than not.

Thanks to those random rain storms, I have found myself in a Disney World poncho more times than I care to admit so why do I hate them? It’s because they steam me like a baked potato!

When it rains in Disney World, sometimes it’s really nice because it cools down the hot theme parks but other times, it just makes the parks worse. I have literally seen the ground steaming from how hot it is post rain and it feels like I’m standing in a sauna.

More often than not, the poncho I’ve put on to try and save me from being soaked by the rain just makes the steam feel much worse! Hence the basked potato reference. I also feel that the poncho ends up dripping more water onto my shoes than I would have had otherwise.
