A LOT is going on in theme parks in Florida right now. Disney World is in the middle of adding new lands and expansions to Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Universal Orlando will open its third theme park in May, Epic Universe. Well, another Florida theme park is expanding: Busch Gardens Tampa Bay just announced that it’s adding a new land, Wild Oasis, to its theme park.

The Jungala area of Busch Gardens Tampa Bay is getting a new land called Wild Oasis, which will be “North America’s most immersive kid-friendly adventure realm,” while promising to be exciting for every member of the family. This new area will include new animal species, a drop tower ride, interactive climbing structures, and more. The new land is expected to open in Spring 2025.

Wild Oasis will have a rainforest theme and will include Habitat Hideaway, where all-new animals will be joining Busch Gardens’ current collection of over 200 animal species. These new animals will include capybaras, giant anteaters, squirrel monkeys, and tropical birds. Guests will get to see these new habitats from both ground level and aerial views.

A new thrill ride is coming to Wild Oasis, too. The Tree Top Drop is a 35-foot drop tower with “an immersive multimedia experience” that will surround rides with jungle scenes. The height requirement for the ride is 38 inches with an adult and 42 inches to ride alone, meaning that it’s perfect for younger kids who want a thrill ride experience.

Other attractions will include Canopy Climb, a four-level climbing structure with 200 feet of horizontal climbing trails and vertical climbs of up to 45 feet. Enchanted Falls is an interactive splash pad with fountains and spray towers. Rainforest Quest is a self-guided scavenger hunt “providing an exploration of the interconnected wonders of nature and highlighting the relationships between different species in the rainforest.”
