Disney Reveals Behind-the-Scenes Look at a Hotel Refurbishment and We Are Thoroughly Amused

A lengthy refurbishment finally came to an end at Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort.

The end result of the re-do at World Premiere Food Court was awesome! The upgrades look great and the theming is lots of fun. While we know Disney Imagineering takes great care of the rides around Disney World, they also have work on the resorts. Now, Disney has shared some behind-the-scenes work that the Disney Imagineering team did at the World Premiere Food Court!

In an Instagram post, Walt Disney Imagineering introduced Disney fans to some of the Imagineers behind the refurbishment at World Premiere Food Court at the All-Star Movies resort. They also shared some cool fun facts about the new decor you’ll see around the food court!

For example, one mural featuring Mickey and Minnie is at the premiere of “Minnie Poppins Returns!” How fun is that?! There are also new movie posters and signage for these creative movies around the food court.

First up, meet Lon! He is a Senior Concept Artist and Illustrator. As you can see in the picture below, he has a new favorite poster featured at the food court!

Kylie is an Assistant Producer who worked on the food court remodel. Her favorite aspect of the new design is the wordplay for the movies that make up the decor.

Brandon is an Interior Designer who loves the “The Princess Dairies” poster (same, Brandon, same)!

Finally, Patrick is a Graphic Fabrication Designer who enjoys the subtle details like the movie marquee-inspired design of the food stations and the floor tiles that look like film strips. These new details certainly make the refurbished food court lots of fun!

It’s really cool to meet some of the team behind the refurbishment. We thought it turned out VERY cool when we visited it for the first time after its completion. The team did a great job with the details. If you’re staying at All-Star Movies, be sure to stop by the food court to enjoy the new decor!
