This Magic Kingdom Restaurant Is Perpetually Closed, but We Kind of Love It That Way

Disney has a history of closing rides, attractions, and even restaurants without a replacement in mind.

NBA Experience is just sitting abandoned

We can rattle off so many abandoned buildings off the top of our heads, like Stitch’s Great Escape, the NBA Experience, Wonders of Life Pavillion, Big River Bar & Grillthe Galactic Starcruiser, and Tomorrowland Terrace. While it does make us sad that these locations are closed and have yet to come back, there is one restaurant that we are actually okay with being somewhat closed.

Emma is currently on a mission to do EVERYTHING in Disney World. She is bringing along friends from the AllEars cast to do 1,000 tasks in 100 days. If she is successful, Emma, Frybucket, and Quincy will get to go on a trip to Paris!

Can they do it!?

Now, you may be wondering what this series has to do with abandoned Disney buildings. During this series, the AllEars cast reveals some of their best Disney secrets, and in Episode 24, Sage reveals that he has actually taken his meal from Casey’s Corner all the way over to Tomorrowland Terrace!

While Tomorrowland Terrace is not entirely abandoned, it has not been used as a quick-service location in quite some time. Instead, it is utilized as a space for Magic Kingdom’s Firework Dessert Parties.

During the day, however, Tomorrowland Terrace is a very chill area in the park where you can hang out and take a break. Since it is empty during the day, it is a great place to take your food if you are unable to find a table at the quick service restaurant that you ordered from.

Tomorrowland Terrace

Not only have we taken our food here to eat, but it is also a quiet place to work in the park. Not only do we have reporters in the park, but from time to time, our writers like to work inside the parks as well. We have brought our laptops to Tomorrowland Terrace to work and do not have any issues with noise or crowds.

Tomorrowland Terrace also has two bathrooms. While they can get busy during the fireworks, oftentimes, they are empty and don’t have a line.

There are bigger bathrooms near the plaza, but there are also bathrooms deeper into the restaurant.

It is rare for Disney to allow you to go into an abandoned or even semi-abandoned space, and Tomorrowland Terrace is extremely underutilized.

There is even seating in the back!

If you are looking for a chill spot to take a mid-day break, a place to eat your food, or even work remotely, Tomorrowland Terrace is a great spot, and it even has a view of the castle! So yes, while Tomorrowland Terrace may not be used as a quick-service location anymore, we kind of love it the way that it is.
