If you’re heading on a Disney cruise soon, you may notice your luggage tags are different than you’ve had on past adventures, if you’ve previously been on a Disney cruise. Disney has begun sending out these new tags, so let’s dive into what’s new about them!
There will now be three different luggage tag variations — Concierge, non-Concierge, and GTY (Guarantee). The tags for Concierge guests will no longer be a separate color. Instead, each ship will have its own color of luggage tags with each version being the same color on that ship.
Concierge luggage tags will be designated with a crossed-key icon. The tags will have stateroom numbers printed in larger font, and GTY tags will have have a large blank space for you to write your stateroom number in once it has been assigned. The tags will no longer feature a barcode.
Some things will remain the same when it comes to luggage tags. The timeline for receiving your luggage tag, the Luggage Tag Mailer, and the process to obtain your luggage tags at the port will all stay the same. At this time, both the old and new luggage tags may be used for active sailings as the change rolls out. If you’ve gotten the old style of luggage tags, you’re just fine to use those and do not need to request new ones.
