We go to Disney World every day, which means we have learned the ins and outs of the parks and resorts. 

For us, we know the best tips and tricks like the back of our hand, but we were shocked to find out that a lot of people don’t know some of the basics tricks that could be making their vacations to Disney World even easier. So we are sharing the six things that we were astonished to find out that people still don’t know about or remember.

You Can Schedule Mobile Orders

One of our favorite ways to skip waiting in line is not by using Lightning Lane, but by placing a Mobile Order for our food. Sometimes the best slots get taken up around busy meal periods if you wait to order food once you breakfast, lunch or dinner roll around. 

You can actually schedule your Mobile Orders in advance through the My Disney Experience app. And if your plans change or you want to add something to your order, you can totally do so! Scheduling your meals in advance can help ensure you snag some of the best Mobile Order slots.

The Resort Monorail Line Stops at the Transportation and Ticket Center

We dread visiting the Magic Kingdom because of the Transportation and Ticket Center. It can be a real bummer to see the line for the Monorail be back up when trying to get to or leave the Magic Kingdom. 

Many people go straight to the Express Monorail as it offers a direct route to and from the Transportation and Ticket Center to the Magic Kingdom, but did you know that the Resort Monorail line also stops at the Transportation and Ticket Center? 

While in most cases the Express Monorail line will have more Monorails running, if the line happens to be backed up or there is maintenance trouble, hop in the Resort Monorail line instead!

Anyone Can Use Disney Transportation

One of the many perks of staying at a Disney World hotel is that guests get to use all the free transportation options to get around the resort including buses, Monorails, the Skyliner, and watercraft. Although these transportation options are marketed towards hotel guests, anyone can use them.

If you want to visit a resort or hop over to another park, you are more than welcome to use the free transportation.

If you choose to purchase Lighting Lane Multi Pass, you get to make three initial secltions before even heading into the park. Just like the previous systems, you are able to make more Lighting Lane selections after you use one of your reservations.

One of our team members were shocked to overhear someone in Magic Kingdom say that they miss Genie+ because it allowed you to make more than three selections a day. DON’T let this be you! You paid for the service and you should be able to make the most of it!

While selections may be limited, make sure to check the My Disney Experience app each time you redeem a Lightning Lane. If rides or times are not showing up, we always suggest refreshing because you never know what might appear.
