Who wants to go to Disney World? You better be raising your hand right now. Who doesn’t love a little Disney getaway?! And now that there is a brand-new addition at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, one of our favorite Magic Kingdom shortcuts has opened up again!
The brand-new Island Tower boasts a new restaurant, new rooms, and a new fireworks view. It’s pretty luxurious! We are lucky enough to be staying at the newly reopened resort, and we have some super exciting news to share with you!
The Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is the newest Disney Vacation Club property in Disney World. And while we are so excited that it has finally opened, we have to admit we are also pretty excited about something else opening up, too!
The walkway between Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa has officially reopened! That means that you can now walk from the Transportation & Ticket Center all the way to Magic Kingdom if you so desire.
It is a gorgeous walkway, and it is no longer awkwardly blocked in the middle between the Grand Floridian and the TTC. We love taking strolls on this walkway and admiring the Florida nature while taking in some pretty great views of Magic Kingdom and the Magic Kingdom hotels.
If you are looking to get your steps in, head to this walkway for a truly magical walk. Don’t forget to bring some water if you plan on walking for a bit! You can walk between the Transportation and Ticket Center, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, Island Tower, Disney’s Grand Floridian, and Magic Kingdom.
The Island Tower officially opened on December 17th, 2024, and the hotel offers rooms that sleep two to nine guests. Now that the hotel is officially open, we can walk one of our favorite Magic Kingdom shortcuts again.
