It looks like there will be more changes coming soon in Magic Kingdom!
Magic Kingdom is set to have LOTS of changes in the coming years including a Pirates of the Caribbean lounge, two Cars attractions, a new nighttime show, and an entire Villains land. However, we just spotted a permit for more work that is going to be done in Magic Kingdom!
It appears that Cool Ship in Magic Kingdom will be getting a refresh! Disney recently filed a permit for work at Cool Ship, and we have all the details.
Cool Ship is a food stand located in Tomorrowland that serves up a variety of snacks, including popcorn, glazed nuts, cotton candy, ice cream novelties, and beverages.
The permit was filed to install set elements at the address of Cool Ship in Magic Kingdom. The work will be done by Icarus Exhibits, Inc., a common contractor used by Disney World. You can see their work all across Disney World, including the water tower at Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.
Icarus Exhibits, Inc. is also doing work on the retheming of Test Track. They have been working with Disney World since the 1990’s, so they definitely know a thing or two about installing set elements.
Disney hasn’t announced yet what the set elements will be or what work will be done at Cool Ship, but we will be keeping an eye on this food stand and will let you know about any updates.
