If You Left Magic Kingdom Without Doing These 5 Things, It’s Time to Go Back ASAP.

Magic Kingdom is full of many magical memories for the millions of families who have walked through its gates throughout the years.

Magic Kingdom

Some families or individual visitors have specific things they HAVE to do each trip to make it feel like a true day in Magic Kingdom to them. We asked our readers on Facebook to tell us what they always have to do before they walk back out the gates, and we have to say…we TOTALLY hear you!

Visiting The Confectionery

A lot of our readers shared that they always have to visit The Confectionery, whether it’s at the beginning of the day to get their kids a candy mix to keep them happy and occupied in lines, or at the end of the day for one last treat.

This is also a great way to let some of the larger crowds leave the parks first, as the stores often close about half an hour after park close, so you can let the crowds die down a little bit. It may not sound like a lot, but that half hour can really make a big difference. Don’t forget you can mobile order from The Confectionary too, but you’ll need to place your order BEFORE the park officially closes!

Specific Rides

Some of our readers also shared that there are specific rides they always have to make sure they hit too, such as the PeopleMover! We adore this attraction too — it’s relaxing, a great way to rest your feet for a moment, and can give you a moment to plan your next move with your group.

Another one mentioned was Haunted Mansion, which we can totally understand as well. It’s the only “spooky” ride left in Magic Kingdom, and it holds a special place in a lot of people’s hearts. Just remember that even though it’s silly scary to adults, a lot of kids may GENUINELY be terrified, so keep that in mind!

Lastly, we had a lot of people mention that they also always have to ride Pirates of the Caribbean, which is another iconic attraction, especially since it is slightly different than its Disneyland counterpart! Plus, let’s be real, the smell of that water is a necessity every trip.

Fireworks

The fireworks in Magic Kingdom are iconic for a reason, and while they may not be a necessity for everyone, there are a lot of families and Disney goers who choose to stake out a good spot for the parade well in advance to make sure they’ve got a great seat for the magic!

Happily Ever After

Truly, these shows are often so powerful with their combination of fireworks, music, and projections that many guests end up in tears, reminiscing on how Disney and Disney stories have impacted their life. And we get it! We’ve been there more times than we can count!

Grabbing Popcorn

While Disney World popcorn isn’t the best snack out there by a long shot, it is nostalgic and a must-have for many! We’ve also heard a lot of people say that they can’t find popcorn that tastes like Disney popcorn, so that makes it extra special.

Plus, let’s be honest — sometimes you just want a SIMPLE snack! Popcorn is one of the simplest out there, and if you’re craving something salty, this is 100% a great choice. (And dang it, now we’re craving it.)

Taking One Last Look

This last one tugged on our heartstrings, but we get it entirely, because we do it too — especially those of us who don’t live in Orlando and can only visit every now and then. Taking one last look at the castle before you leave was something a TON of our readers said they do every trip.

Some of our readers said they also choose to snap a picture of or with the castle in this moment, but regardless, taking one look back and soaking up the last of the memories is something a lot of us have done too! Especially when it’s lit up at night — oh don’t make us cry.
