NEWS: Disney World Reopens After Hurricane Milton Hits Florida

Disney World has reopened!

After a day and a half-closed, and less than 48 hours after Hurricane Milton battered many parts of Florida, the Disney World Resort reopened on Friday, October 11th —  and we were there first thing in the morning.

On our way to the Magic Kingdom, we noticed evidence of Milton’s impact, specifically in the rideshare courtyard area outside the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC).

Evidence of storm remained noticeable in this area, but all walking paths were clear for visitors.

However, once inside the TTC courtyard, things looked pretty pristine.

Heading to the Magic Kingdom, we did notice that many of the trees we could see from the Monorail seemed to have been stripped of many of their leaves. This was also visible near the Magic Kingdom’s entrance.

However, once we reached the park itself, things looked relatively normal. We did notice that Cast Members on Main Street were wearing their warmer jackets due to colder temperatures.

Meanwhile, things were also humming along at Animal Kingdom.

Crowds seemed relatively normal, and the park, to our eyes, looked no worse for wear, with no noticeable damage or flooding from what we could see.

Walt Disney World has reopened after 2.5 days of Hurricane Milton-related closures, and there are definitely some signs of the storm across the property. That said, it’s seemingly business as usual within the parks. Stay tuned to AllEars for more updates on the resort’s reopening.
