This spot will have it all — a sweet menu, a savory menu, an afternoon tea service, a table-service option, and the ability to get items to-go from the bakery. The restaurant is likely to be opening sometime this year, but now we have a BIG update!

The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers has been under construction for a while — nearly two years. We’ve been following along and seeing all the gorgeous updates!

The lights are SO pretty!

Now, we saw a huge construction update that could mean big news is on the way. The construction walls are officially down around The Cake Bake Shop! Around the outside, you’ll now see bushes and gates blocking your way in.

The construction walls are down!

We also noticed the menu was up on the outside of the building!

Items like Cinnamon Toast Brioche Bites, waffles, french toast, quiche, sandwiches, salads, soups, Three Cheese Cavatappi with Basil Breadcrumbs, cocktails, and so much more are included.

There’s a lot on the menu!

Disney notes that the new eatery will present a “whimsical atmosphere that complements the magic of the idyllic charm of Disney’s BoardWalk that guests know and love.” And did we mention there will be a champagne bar?!

As we mentioned above, there will be both a table service option and a to-go option here. The table service spot is called The Cake Bake Shop Restaurant. It’ll feature breakfast, brunch, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner, desserts, and cocktails.

  1. I will be staying at the Beach Club soon and I will not be walking around the lake to try this place. Disney has been squeezing my budget for years now, but this takes it to a new level. My kids are older now an want to go to Universal, so that what we’re doing in 2026 and 2027. Universal’s “Epic Universe” is just around the corner with 3 new resorts. Disney should lose the “Too Big to fail” attitude and get ready for lower crowds. I will go back to Disney when all the new lands are done being built.

  2. Umm… No. Any place that adds an ‘e’ to the end of soup, and salad is going to be far too pretentious and pricey for my budget – even at Disney.
$32 for a burger & fries?! And for the price of the orange juice I want to see it squeezed right there at my table.

  3. Same menu at her other restaurants are less $$$. Price gouging at its finest. Our DVC is Boardwalk we will not eat here.

  4. No as sadly I don’t have any extra organs to sell to meet the ridiculous over the top fees Disney now charges. I can go to an AI resort in Cancun 6x for 1 visit to Disney. It’s gotten out of hand. The prices of this menu are another example of Disney gluttony. It’s sad so many are priced out of going to Disney.

  5. After reviewing the menu and seeing Disney advertising $4.00 for a piece of toast, I think we’ll be steering clear of this place. Its apparent Disney and olde Gwendolyn created this restaurant for guests staying at the surrounding deluxe resorts and based on their ridiculous pricing…I really can’t see this place thriving and surviving.
