NEWS: Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party CANCELED Tomorrow

We’ve been monitoring the progress of Hurricane Helene, which is expected to make landfall in Florida tomorrow evening.

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

Ahead of the hurricane making landfall, we’re already starting to see some cancellations and closures pop up. Earlier today, we learned that Typhoon Lagoon and Disney World’s miniature golf courses would be closed tomorrow due to concerns about the hurricane. Now, tomorrow evening’s Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party has been canceled in Magic Kingdom.

Due to forecasted weather associated with Hurricane Helene, Disney World is canceling Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party on Thursday, September 26th. If you have tickets for that party, those tickets will be refunded. If you purchased your ticket through a travel agent, you’ll need to contact that agent directly. If you purchased tickets directly from Disney using a credit card, debit card, or Disney Rewards Card, you’ll automatically receive a refund back to your original form of payment within seven business days.

Although Magic Kingdom was scheduled to close to the general public at 6PM due to the party, Disney is now keeping the park open until 8PM for those who want to spend more time there.

Hurricane Helene became a Category 1 hurricane today, which means it has wind speeds anywhere from 74 MPH and 110 MPH. It’s projected to arrive on Florida’s Gulf Coast around 7PM on Thursday with a cone projected to take it through parts of Georgia and Alabama.

Florida residents and those visiting the state should expect tropical storm conditions, including heavy winds and rain. If you’re visiting Disney World, you’ll want to keep a close eye on the weather reports, as well as any announcements Disney might make regarding the storm and other closures.
