Disney has certainly been keeping us on our toes lately.

After all the whirlwind announcements we heard at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, our minds have been racing at all the possibilities. But, in typical Disney fashion they kept most of the juicy details to themselves. That’s why we don’t care what else happens — we just need these Disney announcements before 2025!
Dear Disney, we don’t care what else happens — just please make these announcements before the end of 2024!
DINOSAUR Closing Date
Yes, it’s true — DinoLand U.S.A. will be leaving us and will be replaced with a new Tropical Americas-themed land. And, while we’re extremely excited about all that this new land will bring, it does mean we’ll have to say goodbye to DinoLand and DINOSAUR.

The new land called Pueblo Esperanza will feature attractions based on Indiana Jones and Encanto. Construction is set to begin in phases as early as this fall…but it’s not clear when certain things will close just yet.

Here’s the thing, though, Disney has already started filing permits and making moves to get work started here on this transformation — but we still don’t know when we’ll have to officially say goodbye to DinoLand and DINOSAUR for good. Please, Disney, we need ample time to say goodbye and grieve!
Future of Muppet*Vision 3D
At D23, Disney also announced that a new Monsters Inc. rollercoaster would be coming to Hollywood Studios! What they failed to share, however, is where exactly this new ride and new Monstropolis Land would be going. Speculation ran wild, and some fans think that the future of Grand Avenue a.k.a. Muppets Courtyard could be in jeopardy.

Disney shared some concept art of the new Monsters Inc. land, and the buildings in the background look awfully similar to what we know as Grand Avenue right now. There’s another camp of people who believe the new land could go into Animation Courtyard or another backstage area, so we’re holding out hope for that.

Either way, we just want to know what’s going to happen to The Muppets!
Villains Land Opening Timeline
Yet another expansion is coming to Disney World — this time at Magic Kingdom. Villains are finally coming to the Most Magical Place on Earth with their very own land. The space will be home to two major attractions, dining options, and shopping offerings on an “incredibly twisted grand scale.” Preparation is already underway for this new land at Magic Kingdom.

But, of course, we don’t know when exactly this is all set to happen. We do know that the Villains land will be located behind Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. Disney also revealed some concept art for the area, but other than that, we are left to wonder what sort of attractions, restaurants, and opening timeline are in store for this new land.
Cake Bake Shop Opening Date
The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers has been through a whirlwind — at least from our perspective. This new restaurant coming to Disney’s BoardWalk was originally slated to open in late 2023, and then the timeline was updated to early 2024.

Obviously, that has yet to happen and as of now, there is no official opening date. We have seen things slowly start to come together from the outside which hopefully means we’re getting closer, but for now, we’re left waiting.

No matter when Disney finally decides to make these announcements, one thing is for sure — we’ll be on the lookout for the latest updates and more! Don’t forget to stay tuned to AllEars so you don’t miss a thing.

Can we please get rid of theme park reservations for AP? It hasn’t kept us out of any parks so far, but it’s really an inconvenience when planning a trip with non passholders and having to pick specific days, just in case good to go days don’t happen, which BTW, are usually posted a whole week or two in advance (not helpful).
