Universal may have saved the best for last!
We have slowly been getting information about Universal’s new theme park in Orlando, Epic Universe. And today we just got lots of details about the The Wizarding World of Harry Potter: Ministry of Magic land.
Epic Universe is a brand-new theme park that Universal is currently building that is scheduled to open sometime in 2025. The park will consist of five themed lands. Each land is themed and includes a variety of attractions, shops, and restaurants. In addition to the five themed lands, Universal is also building various hotels including the Universal Helios Grand Hotel, Stella Nova Resort, and Terra Luna Resort.
We have been learning a lot about the new lands coming to Epic Universe. We have gotten information about Dark Universe, Super Nintendo World, Celestial Park, and How To Train Your Dragon — Isle of Berk. And now, we just got all the details about The Wizarding World of Harry Potter: Ministry of Magic.
Rides and Attractions
Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry
This ride will take you on a chase through the Ministry of Magic as Dolores Umbridge attempts to escape during her trial for her crimes. The “magical, omnidirectional” ride has you propelled up, down, forward, backward, and more with Harry, Ron, Hermione, and a house-elf named Higgledy chasing Umbridge and dodging magical creatures, Death Eaters, and more!
Le Cirque Arcaus
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter will get its first-ever live, full-scale theater show! The experience will feature live performers, aerialists, puppetry, special effects, and more. This show will take you on an adventure of fantastic beasts like you’ve never done before.
Inspiring Wand Magic
All around the wizarding world, you’ll find places to practice your magic! Cast spells, interact with fantastic beasts like Nifflers, Bowtruckles, and a Demiguise, and interact with enchanted objects in storefront windows.
Characters
In addition to those rides and attractions, you will also be able to meet some iconic characters roaming the wizarding world! Some of these characters include:
- Officials and residents from the wizarding world
- Exchange students from Hogwarts and Ilvermony Schools of Witchcraft and Wizardry
- An Auror from the Ministére des Affaires Magiques d la France
- And more!
Restaurants
Now you will likely find yourself getting hungry as you explore all that The Wizarding World of Harry Potter: Ministry of Magic has to offer. So, what dining options will be available in this land?
Café L’Air De La Siréne
This café will be a charming place where you can grab French sandwiches, plats du jour, and desserts.
Le Gobelet Noir
You’ll find this restaurant in the shadowy corners of Place Caché where Dark witches and wizards meet to escape the Paris Ministry. You’ll find a hearty meal of a variety of entrees and desserts along with soups and salads here.
Bar Moonshine
American witches and wizards will feel right at home at Bar Moonshine. You’ll find exclusive beers, wines, and cocktails in a bar decorated with U.S. Quidditch pennants and other wizarding items from America.
Biéraubeurre Cart
It’s not The Wizarding World of Harry Potter without Butterbeer! This cart will have your favorite frosty beverage in the streets of Place Cachée.
Shops
Of course, the land wouldn’t be complete without some shopping. This land will feature a variety of shops where you can browse wizarding wares and purchase exclusive merchandise.
Cosme Acajor Baguettes Magique
Shop in a Parisian wand shop where you’ll find the world’s finest wands designed by Cosme Acajor, the esteemed wandmaker. You’ll find imported Ollivander wands along with wands in unique three-sided boxes. Each wand also comes with a list of places that you can practice using your wand throughout the wizarding world.
Other shops will include Les Galeries Mirifiques where you’ll find wizarding gear and memorabilia, the French confectionery K. Rammelle, and Tour En Floo, a shop with Ministry of Magic-inspired items.

Only one ride in the land is slight cause for concern. It’s the fewest opening day rides in a Wizarding World land with Hogsmeade having 3 rides abs Diagon Alley 1 1/2 rides (counting Hogwart’s Express as a half-ride since it is shared with Hogsmeade and requires an upgraded ticket). Universal could be opening the stage show turns into a people eater, but that will depend on how big the theater is.
Regardless, really looking forward to Epic Universe finally opening!
